For those who are serving at this very moment thank you for your service! We appreciate all that you have done and all that you continue to do at this very moment.
Words cannot sufficiently communicate the gratitude I have for those who throughout the history of this dear nation have paid the ultimate price for the many upon many freedoms that I have at this very moment. My wife prepared a wonderful breakfast that we ate outside in the midst of God's creation. I read the Bible and we did our devotions without any fear of someone coming along and hauling us off. We are truly blessed!

The words that we say will bring damage or they will bring good. We live in a time that runs off the fuel of convenience. Too many say what others want to hear or if they find themselves in a pinch they will lie their way out of something, and if needed they will lie their way into something. The convenience of a lie will lead one down a road of destruction. In the end one's mind never seems to be able to keep up with their mouth. The Bible says, "The lip of truth shall be established for ever more: but a lying tongue is but for a moment" (Proverbs 12:19.) God lays before us the two extremes of those who choose to run with sin or walk in righteousness. The one who is truthful will be established; picture solid footing in the presence of longevity. The one who wields a lying tongue is for a moment. Sooner than later a liar will be exposed, and then their time is up, and they move on to someone else. The truth is the liar has an impossible time establishing relationships because their words are fruitless, and rootless, and they can't keep up with them. Truth has weight that will stand the test of time, and will endure the storms of lies. Be wise, and apply the truth, and you will be established. "We love him, because he first loved us." I John 4:19 Have you ever set your mind to the thought that God first loved you? It is not that we sent out a search party looking for God. My friend, I pray that you never grow cold in the simple, but powerful truth that God came looking for you. Remember, "For Go so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John3:16.) God wanted you to get saved and desires that for the lost at this very moment. We are no different than when Adam and Eve hid themselves in the bushes from God. God sent His Son and "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8.) What a wonderful doctrine to carry with us every day. I wasn't saved until I was thirty-six, and I was not familiar with most hymns, but there is one that is dear to my heart: "O how I love Jesus O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus- Because He first loved me." Carry that thought with you today and allow it to sink in deep. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 God gave and sent His only begotten Son to be the saviour of the world. Down through the ages mankind has implemented many plans. Governmental plans for the people so that they might prosper and be protected. Individual plans that might set into motion the potential for success in ones chosen field of employment. I do not dispute the fact that many of these plans have achieved many wonderful things for those who have followed through with them. But, there has never been a plan like the redemptive plan that God offers mankind through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. I want us to travel to three places that Jesus Christ changed forever as He obeyed the Heavenly Father and followed the wonderful plan of salvation for mankind. These three places are forever wedded and should be always celebrated. Bethlehem- Luke 2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” It began in Bethlehem that God in the form of man born of a virgin had left the pureness of heaven and journeyed to earth to make known the good news of salvation. Gethsemane- Jesus would have a time of prayer before a season of suffering. Matthew 26:36 describes the scene, “Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.” Three times in Matthews account the Lord Jesus went off by Himself in the garden to pray. The Lord Jesus knew He would have to suffer, bleed and die on the cross. The heaviness of such a time could never be known by any of us. How thankful we all should be for Jesus’s obedience in such a time. Calvary- The greatest victory of all time was won on the cross on that bloody hill. From tragedy came triumph in that the death of Christ was sufficient in paying the debt of mankind for the price we all owe for our sins. The sacrifice was sufficient and the words of Christ from the cross should ring in our hearts each and every day as reminder of what He has done for us, “It is finished.” On Jan the 31st of this year I posted a a prayer request blog. One of the request was for missionary Sam Wards brother Greg. This was the request, "Missionary Sam Wards brother, Greg, is going through radiation treatments and it is important that he keeps his weight up. Let's pray that his appetite increases. Let's pray while believing and believe while we are praying! Those of you who prayed your prayers have been answered. Bro. Ward posted this blessed news on twitter, "My brother Greg got his PET Scan results today. NO EVIDENCE OF CANCER!! Somebody say AMEN RIGHT THERE! God bless you all for your prayers." I say, Praise the Lord!
Let's continue to pray! O that we would strive together one with another for each other in prayer. We need to exercise our faces and our knees while we have air in our lungs and good health in our bones. Let's take serious the Holy Spirit filled words of the Apostle Paul. "Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, for the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me."(Romans 15:30). Thank for visiting and thanks for praying! Bro.Tracy This world does not need a callous, cold and complacent child of God. This world needs a sold out, knee bent, Holy Ghost filled believer to finish out the race with praise in their heart and power in their steps. This world needs you to share the Gospel and sow the seed of the precious word of God. This world needs you to be a burning lamp that brings light to this dark world. This world needs to know the love of God, but not at the expense of the word of God. My friend if you are saved the world needs you to do that which God has called you to do, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). Our time here is short so... we move forward by faith as we live to bring glory to God and good to those around us. It should bring heart break and pain to us as we look around and see all of those in this lost and dark world grabbing for anything as they gravitate towards the lies of the devil and the sin of this world. Satisfaction will never, ever be found from the things of this world. Let's pray- Our knees bent (A great need) Let's proclaim- Our voices heard (The Gospel) Let's participate- Our orders are clear (Go ye) “But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:2 If any of you have any back ground in working out you know that most experts teach that when one wants to lose weight one of the most effect ways is to gain muscle and in doing so the muscle that is gained acts as a natural fat burner. I’ve often read that protein is a building block for muscle growth. Looking at this in a spiritual sense if one wants to see growth in their Christian life God’s word is the protein that we need. It must be the main staple of our diet! It is the building block. We need to come to our spiritual training table every day. One helping will not be enough we need to return time and time again. Our verse teaches us the manner in which we should take in this heavenly nourishment and when we should do so. God’s word tells us to meditate on His Word day and night. The word meditate has the meaning to: ponder or to turn over in one’s mind; to contemplate. When we delight in God’s word day and night we will have a desire to meditate over it and we will glean from it golden nuggets of truth. What a wonderful place to live. For those of you who have taken the three week Psalm one challenge I pray that God is meeting with you day and night! He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psalm 91:1-2 What will you say about the Lord today? Get into these two simple verses and allow them to get into you. It is easy to live in a state of discouragement and desolation, but my friend get yourself up off the canvas and stand tall in Christ Jesus. An opportunity awaits you at this very moment to trust in the Lord in a way you have never trusted Him. An opportunity awaits you today to walk with the Lord in a way that you have never walked with Him. An opportunity awaits you to give yourself to the Lord to do with what he has chosen. Trust in Him! As many of you know we have been praying for the bus ministry at Rosman Baptist Tabernacle since the very beginning. God has been doing a work in the dear folks at RBT while doing a powerful work through the bus ministry in the surrounding areas of Rosman, North Carolina. Well my friends God has shown Himself big again! I will let you read the words from Pastor Tommy Morrow:
It has now been two months since RBT followed the leadership of The Lord in beginning our bus ministry. Since the beginning of this ministry we have witnessed The Lord do great things. He graciously provided us with a small bus which we use every Saturday on visitation along with Sunday pickup. On average we have around twenty people who faithfully work our bus ministry and new people each week who show interest. As of this week we have signed up almost 80 children to ride our bus and van and see new children each week in our services. With the growing number of children being picked up weekly, we are having to make multiple trips each Sunday morning on our small bus and van. This evening after our Sunday services I received a call from another pastor in Western North Carolina that also runs a bus ministry. The Pastor informed me that his church voted to give us a full size church bus, (let me stop right here and just say GLORY!!). I believe The Lord will bless this Pastor and his church abundantly for their willingness to obey The Lord! The Lord has certainly blessed us with much resource to reach the children in our Jerusalem with the wonderful Gospel of Christ, and we want to be found faithful using those resources. We are so thankful for the many of you that faithfully pray for this ministry and we ask that you continue to remember us as we follow the Lord in His command to "GO out into the highways and hedges". Go gettem, it's worth it! Pastor Tommy Morrow I wanted to post a little nugget for those who have taken the three week challenge of reading Psalm One morning and night for three weeks. I am praying that God has met with you in a mighty way up to this point. Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalm 1:3 By the hands of God we shall be planted. Give your heart, soul and mind over to the thought of the care He gives and all that He provides. The streams of water that will bring spiritual nourishment and blessing and in the midst of these we will be well rooted in God and by God. In Gods timing there will be fruit and no seasonal change will affect the leaves. I’ll leave prosperity in God’s hands because He knows what is best for each of us. I want you to consider the care that God puts into creation. For example, The Northern California Red woods are nearly 370 ft. from base to crown. If a bird were to set at the very top it could look down on a 37 story building. The cousin of the Red Wood the giant Sequoias are found in the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Range. Few Sequoias stand taller than 300 ft. but the biggest of them support up to 600 tons of wood on trunks that measure up to 100 ft. around. The Sequoias start from a seed the length of an eyelash. I do not deny that these trees are a wonder of God’s creation (I was blessed to stand in the midst of these trees last summer) but if you are a Christian today how much greater are you to God than these massive trees. Let’s allow God full control of our lives. We will be firmly planted and constantly cared for as we yield our lives to God. I pray that we will echo the words of the Psalmist, “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. (Psalm 119:103-104) |
