We will be teachable when we are reachable. We have to give ourselves over to the Lord and be submissive to His will for our lives. We cannot come to God with our plans in our hands and expect Him to bless them. When our hearts are fixed upon Him and His plans for our lives, we will be reachable and teachable. David wrote in Psalm 25:1-5, “Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.” David did not lean on his own understanding. David had a desire to give himself over to God completely. He had three requests of the Lord that made him reachable and teachable. I. Show me- "Thy ways" II. Teach me- "Thy Paths" III. Lead me- "In Thy Truth" David said, “O my God, I trust in thee.” And “On thee do I wait all the day.” David was trusting in and submissive to the Lord. We would do well to follow his example. There will be times in our lives when we will not understand the outcome or circumstances of various situations, but our peace will be plentiful when we place our trust in the all-knowing God and lean upon Him and not our own finite understanding. Always remember these well worn verses, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 "The Lord is my helper"-Hebrews 13:6b I pray that the fragrance of Christ would permeate from the very life Christ has given you through His precious blood today. May a Christlikeness increase and expand within you as you go about your day and may that Christlikeness increase and expand to those around you today. I pray that you will seek His face, while allowing the Word of God to nourish you with heavenly wisdom and heavenly power for this your earthly journey. May the desire be to be filled with the Holy Spirit be a constant throughout every moment and second of your day. Remember, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8.) You will walk in victory today with the knowledge that everything around you may change, but not your Lord and Saviour. Bring glory to God with the time He has given you. Don’t just simply endure, but live whole heartily in and through Christ Jesus. Give the Lord your best in anything and everything. Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. Psalm 5:1-3 My friend these words have such depth to them- David is not playing games. These words are not simply from the heart they have made their way up from deep down within. My prayer for myself and whoever else may read this is that we would find ourselves at such a place right now! No gimmicks, no games and no playing religion. O to be a living sacrifice for the Lord to do with as He would; to give ourselves over to His will willingly. To come to such a place of desire for God should be the burning ambition of us all. Take a moment and read the verses slowly and deliberately again and again. Allow each word to have its moment. Make the verses your own prayer. David has spread himself out before the One True God. He seems to be completely and utterly emptied of self. David has not come lightly- he is all in. He is not looking around he is looking up. He doesn’t appear to desire anything or anyone more than his Lord, his King and his God and they are all one in the same. Come up close this morning to the Lord, and anticipate Him meeting with you. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. II Corinthians 5:17 Today is my 49th birthday. As cliched as it sounds,"Time flies." God's word teaches us, "For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." (James 4:3b) Our time here is short, so we move forward by faith while ever living under the shadow of the cross knowing that our salvation was wrought upon the violent yet victorious Hill called Calvary through and in our Saviour The Lord Jesus Christ. Glory to the Lamb forever! This October I will have been saved for thirteen years. I have never gotten over what Christ did for me in the saving of my soul. Any words that I would attempt to string together would be a futile attempt to capture that which burns in my heart. I am looking forward to praising my Lord today and thanking Him for another glorious opportunity to bring glory to Him. I am looking forward to a blessed day with my wife. I am a rich man in Christ Jesus! "He that hath the Son hath life" (1 John 5:12a) My friend, if the redeemed in Christ Jesus ever really get a hold of the fact and truth that WE ARE SAVED praise will flow like a mighty river from our hearts and across our lips! Tears of joy will accompany the remaining days we have here on this earth, and that will be a wonderful thing. Gratitude! Gratitude! Gratitude! I believe the seed of revival will be be planted in the soil of gratitude! We need revival! We need the redeemed in Christ to say so! People need to see the joy of the Lord in our lives! Don’t be afraid to get excited about the Lord Jesus Christ. People need the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s not waste the time we have been given. Let’s be salt and light in a dark and hell bound world. Whatever country you are in, and whatever language you speak, it is time. This is a call to the world! Let's join Pastor Mike Kleitz and the good folks at Calvary Road Baptist Church at New Albany, IN in prayer for their upcoming Spring Revival. Let's call out and cry out on the behalf of Pastor Mike Graber! Let's pray that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit as he preaches and proclaims the truths of Almighty God- "In demonstration of the Spirit and of power." Let's pray that the saints would be stirred and lost souls would be saved. Prayers from around the world will make a difference around the world!
Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy Psalm 18:1-2 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Revelation 3:14-16
Which will it be? Where do you find yourself at this very minute? Won't you give yourself completely to the One who gave His all for "Whosoever will"? Don't settle for just a little of the Lord- hunger and thirst for more and more of Him. "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." II Corinthians 8:9 It is well past time for Christians to approach each and every day with an excitement. It seems most believers live far too often in the land of frustration instead of in the courts of anticipation. Instead of living empowered lives we walk around as a punching bag for the devil and the world to pound on. Dear believer, you should be living in victory in Christ Jesus. You should be anticipating what God will be saying to you through His Word. You should be expecting the Holy Spirit to do a powerful work in and through you today for God's glory and for the good of those around you. Yes sin came in, but Christ came down. What grace! What goodness! What a Saviour! The Lord Jesus Christ came down from on high and won the greatest victory in all of history. The NFL, NBA and the NCAA have never known such a victory. We are rich indeed! Calvary was a battle ground and Christ was victorious over hell, sin and the grave. Those are shoutin’ words! Allow these words to be hallelujah fuel for your spiritual tank, "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:6-8.) For the born-again our excitement is not based upon mere emotion it is based and built upon our unchanging Saviour and His enduring Word. Drink deep and long from our verse today. Get excited and live in anticipation of what God will be doing throughout your day. |
