I am excited about an upcoming opportunity for our visitors to pray for the 57 Pastors, Preachers and Missionaries we have listed on our "Prayer Requests Page." I will be listing them a few at a time. It will be interesting to see how God works in the various ministries and churches as we pray earnestly and fervently for those men and families who God has placed in those specific places at this specific time in history.
Please be watching for the first Prayer Post. Remember, "Payers from around the world will make a difference around the world." Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy "There is passion in the praying that prevails. Elijah was a man of passions all compact. There was passion in all that he did. All there was of him went into everything he did. God loves a man aflame. The lukewarm he cannot abide. He never keeps hot hearts waiting. “When ye shall search me with all your heart,… I will be found of you” (Jeremiah 29:13-14). When he prayed, he prayed in his prayer. Is there not much praying in which there is no prayer? The praying man was in his petition. Listen to his praying death chamber. Watch him on Carmel. Hear him plead the honor of God and cry unto the Lord for the affliction of the people. It is always the same: Abraham pleading for Sodom, Jacob in the stillness of the night, Moses standing in the breach, Hannah intoxicated with sorrow, David heartbroken with remorse and grief—Jesus in a sweat of blood. Add to the list from the records of the church, personal observation and experience, and always there is the cost of passion unto blood. It prevails. It brings God. There is no power like that of prevailing prayer."
Samuel Chadwick Without God, there could be no American form of Government, nor an American way of life. Recognition of the Supreme Being is the first- the most basic- expression of Americanism. Thus the Founding Fathers saw it, and thus, with God’s help it will continue to be.”
President Dwight D. Eisenhower (1955) As my mom has grown older she reflects back more and more on a way of life that has become a memory in her mind and in the mind of many others who recall how life once was in the United States of America. My mom looks around at our moral free fall and she is heartbroken. The further that we as a Nation step out on our own and away from God the sooner we will find ourselves at a destination that no individual or nation should ever want-To find themselves at odds with Almighty God. The philosopher will smirk as he or she bathes in the glow of their own self-worth while spewing out countless words that fall like dead weight before the all-knowing God of the universe. The power hungry, movers and shakers will complete another deal while motivated by greed and the constant lust for more. While a good name and an honest way built upon the foundation of an honest word have been thrown out for fear of failure. Many leave the table of greed, success and lust starving, while the All Powerful God of the universe offers them the bread of life- The Saviour! The Lord Jesus Christ. We have fallen so far from the living God that no one seems to notice. Those of us who call America home are blessed beyond measure, but we have forgotten Jehovah Jireh; we have forgotten that God is the provider and the protector. Our land has the distinct odor of Sodom. We should be taking the humble stance of Nineveh after Jonah the evangelist came with a message from God, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown" (Jonah 3:4b.) After the man of God preached the message of God the people of Nineveh (including the king) believed God. They fasted and they turned from their evil ways and God saw it. The Bible tells us that God, “Repented of the evil that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not" (Jonah3:10b.) We need prayer warriors! We need old fashion, Daniel like praying men, women, boys and girls. We need to sound the horn and spread the word. We need to put on the whole armour of God and get down to business; on our face and our knees; in our prayer closet and in the churches. I am not quitting or giving up! How about you? Let's not live lackadaisical lives, let's live Holy Spirit filled lives. Let's not just endure lets live in victory in Christ Jesus. Let's pray while believing and believe while praying. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14 “I Will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.” Psalm 145:1-2 Praise is the suture that knits us closer to our Lord. I pray that our fire will be kindled when it comes to praising the Lord! David is emphatic when he says, “I will extol thee.” He makes it personal as he writes, “my God.” And better yet he gives prominence and preeminence to his God with the title, “O king.” David has a desire and puts legs on his desire with the purpose to praise highly and glorify continually the one true God. When we make our praise personal we remind ourselves of all the provision, protection and power that the Lord has provided time after time after time. When we remember those times our testimonies will be the basis of our praise. They will be the music and words that make up the praise that we send upward to our Lord and Saviour. We will want to bless His name always. Verse two does not picture a lifeless practice. A relationship is strengthened and built by the precious time that is spent with another. Our affection for the Lord will be expressed by the frequency and fervency in which we bless and praise His name. Give thought to the millions upon millions who never praise God, lift up His name or give any thought about Him. The coldness of too many Christians surely must grieve the Holy Spirit when it comes to praising the Lord. “How is your praise life?” “Is it cold and inconsistent or fiery and frequent?” Let’s be honest and let the Holy Spirit have His way with our hearts. Let's praise the God of the Universe, who is worthy of our praise. Your day will be joyous as you extol, bless and praise the Lord. When thou sadist, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face Lord, will I seek. Psalm 27:8 A.W. Tozer asked the question, “Why do some persons “find” God in a way others do not? Why does God manifest His presence to some and let multitudes of others struggle along in half-light of imperfect Christian experience? Of course, the will of God is the same for all. He has no favorites within His household. All He has ever done for any of His children, He will do for all of His children. The difference lies not with God but with us.” I am thoroughly convinced that a deep, abiding and fervent relationship with the Lord can be measured by the degree which we hunger and thirst and seek after Him. After I was saved for just a short time, I had a real hunger for God; to know and to walk with Him. I did not desire a surface relationship; I wanted to live in the deep end. I found to my surprise that many felt I had fallen off into the deep end. I am speaking of the born again! They dabbled in religion and post card Christianity. What is that you ask? It is where one drops a line to the Lord Jesus every now and again; from a distance. When I read Psalm 42:1, my heart nearly skips a beat and my soul is set aflame, “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.” Dear believer never let the Luke -warmness of another Christian to be water on your heart that is set ablaze for the Lord. Never let the coldness of another in any way, shape or form dictate the intensity or desire that you have for Almighty God. Don’t just send a post card, but seek His face and live in the depths of a real relationship with the One true God. I have this prayer request from pastor Steve Spurlock- "Calling all prayer warriors to remember Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Phelps, KY. Reaching the lost in the heart of Hatfield & McCoy territory! Everyone could use more money and more laborers, but we desire Gods power! He's wanting to do great things there!!" Pastor Spurlock added, "We are already seeing revival here among the few." O my! If that doesn't fire your heart up to pray you might want to check your pulse. Let's pray for God's power and unction upon all that takes place at FMBC. You may never step foot into Phelps, Ky but you can make a difference by calling out and crying to the living God on the behalf of the people in this part of our nation. What a week! I preached Tuesday at the chapel service at Dottie's Refuge and the Lord met with the ladies in a mighty way! Praise the Lord! I got a call Wednesday at around 5:30 from Pastor David Voorhess from Millgrove Bible Baptist asking me if I could preach for him. The Lord met with us in the prayer meeting as well as in the preaching! Glory! Thursday I set a date for this Fall to preach in Florida! Bless His Name! The number of the folks coming to the website continues to increase! Many are being encouraged and through the many prayer warriors who are responding to the prayer requests that are being posted the Lord is answering those prayers! Praise His Name! I have not said any of these things to in any way exalt me- Never! It is all because of the Lord. I can remember telling folks that the Lord had called me to preach and they did not seem to get it. I remember sharing with other Christians that the Lord was leading me to start a website. I mostly got blank stares. I love serving the Lord and I am grateful for all the opportunities that He continues to bring through the preaching of His Word and writing for acalltotheworld.com I am not worthy of all of His blessings. I simply praise and bless His Name! Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy Psalm 18:1-2 “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.”
Psalm 41:1 When ones heart has been made tender by the Holy Spirit, they will see through the eyes of the Lord Jesus. They will see others in their many plights not as problematic, but as those in need of a lift and not a push. I say ashamedly that the sarcasm that once spewed from my mouth was biting and often times followed by laughter that flowed from my wicked heart. Thank God for God’s Word that says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Sometimes we can lend a hand; make a purchase or lift our voice to the heavens on one’s behalf. We can send a card; make a call or take time to make a visit. We have always lived in a “me” world but I have found the best remedy for too much of me is looking around and tending to those in need. The Lord’s blessing will follow those who fill the void of the lonely and down trodden. God will be with us in our own times of trouble. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. II Timothy 2:3 I want to encourage anyone who is feeling weary and worn to press on. Press on in the power of God and His might! Press on with the powerful promises from God's Word rooted deep in your heart! Press on when the devil says to quit! Press on knowing that you are on the winning side! Press on in that which God has called you to do! Press on knowing that as you follow the Lord He is with you and He is for you. Praise, Pray and Press on! I recently read this quote and pray that it will be a blessing and a encouragement to you: “God saved you out of this world and sent you back into this world to tell the world that Jesus saves. He is scattering you as precious seed. You are an ambassador upon foreign soil for the King of kings. You are not only scattered as precious seed, you are also scattered as a persevering saint. You are a foreigner in a land where you march to a different drummer. You don't settle down in this world. It's not your home; you're only passing through.” Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro.Tracy |
