A Charge for 2017

Let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy eyes. O Lord, my strength and redeemer.  Psalm 19:14

I wonder what our lives would be like if we started each day with such a prayer?  What if we desired to live in a way that would bring glory to God from the inside out? I am certainly not speaking of an outward showing. I am not inviting you to live a life of dry and lifeless religion. I believe we would walk in victory while being a difference maker in the lives of those around us if we took time to consider our short verse each and every day. The words that flow from our mouths simply reveal that which is the meditation of our hearts. In the country they say, "What's down in the well comes up in the bucket." The psalmist has a want to live life in such a manner that will please the Lord.

As we step across the threshold and into another New Year let’s take the time to ponder who it is we are desiring to please the most.  Let's choose wisely that which is found in our mouth and that which is in our heart. The choices that we make will either reveal to all of those we encounter throughout the year that Jesus Christ is indeed the Lord of our lives or that we are at the helm.

Take the time meditate on our powerful verse. I believe it can be life changing for many in 2017!

Thanks for visiting! Thanks for praying and Happy New Year!

A Quick Truth From Proverbs

“A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.”

Proverbs 12:3

There is no security or stability in wickedness.  Ungodly plans that are driven and fueled by wicked ways are rotten at the core.  They are ruthless and more importantly they are rootless.  That which the righteous is rooted in and built upon is pure, powerful and has substance to it.  The righteous are established by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.  In life the wind will howl and the snow will fall.  The rain will come and bring with it many storms, yet for the righteous they shall not be moved.  For those who choose not the world's wicked way, but delights and meditates on God’s Word they shall be firmly rooted and established no matter what the forecast may be. You will know assurance and with such assurance there is comfort that the devil can't shake and the world can't take away. It will be a life rooted in that which is good.

From- A Call to the World Ministries- Thank You!

I enjoy writing. I truly enjoy writing with a purpose. I believe with all my heart that the Lord led me to start a website.  First and foremost for His Glory and honour. The purpose for writing is also for the proclaiming of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and that the saints would be strengthened, stirred, encouraged and edified. Now- The purpose for my writing is not to be an internet pastor. I have been called to preach the Word of God (Ephesians 4:11-12) and when I go to preach my purpose is for the Pastor and God’s people to be edified, encouraged and stirred in their hearts to have a closer walk with the Lord. REVIVAL!!  I have a burden to see the lost saved. I have a desire for the back-slidden to return to God and the burdened and broken to be helped. None of this is possible without the Lord.

I am thankful that the Lord has called me to preach and allows me to write. I am grateful to see how He works in the lives of many through A Call to the World Ministries. It is not about me. I have nothing to share apart from Almighty God. It must be His Word and the Holy Spirit working in and through the lives of those God touches through this ministry which He allows me to be nothing more than a funnel that He pours through. I want nothing more than God to be glorified and that I would be a clean vessel He would use.

Thank you to the many who visit the website and those who pray for our ministry.  Thank you to the Pastors and God’s people my wife and I have met in 2016.

We look forward to all that God has for us (Lord Willing) in 2017! We are dreaming BIG in Christ Jesus!

If you are a Pastor- I would be blessed to Preach and Sing for you and your people. Check out our “About Us Page" (You will find our contact information there) and our “Doctrinal Statement Page” to learn more about our ministry.

Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying!

Abide In Christ

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5

Oswald Chambers asked a pertinent question, “Are we living in such human dependence upon Jesus Christ that His life is being manifested moment by moment?”  I have learned that questions will provoke and prick our hearts, and in doing so, there is the opportunity for one to take action for the things of God.  Questions will bring one to the threshold of a choice.  In this sense, confrontation is not a bad thing.  Pressure often is the vehicle used to produce spiritual fruit.  In my walk with the Lord, I have found it to be a tool used by the Lord again and again.

The branch can do nothing without the nutrient giving vine. The branch merely bares that which the vine makes possible.  This is what the Lord Jesus is teaching us in today’s verse.  As we abide  in Christ, He will produce the fruit in our lives.  This is an inward work in each believer that will result in the manifestation of an outward showing of the power of God.  Jesus said, “Abide in me, and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye except ye abide in me” (John 15:4).

My wife and I have many persimmon trees on our property but, there is one that stands out from all of the others.  It does not appear to be a tree that one would ever expect a bountiful supply of fruit.  But every fall, this straggly tree is a powerhouse of fruit.  This puny tree has something going on that no one can see.  It is abiding in the vine and is bearing the fruit to prove it.  Remember, we can do nothing without Christ.

A Moment to Remember in American History

"At this special time of year, we all renew our sense of wonder in recalling the story of the first Christmas in Bethlehem, nearly 2,000 years ago. Some celebrate Christmas as the birthday of a great and good philosopher and teacher. Others of us believe in the divinity of the child born in Bethlehem, that he was and is the promised Prince of Peace. ... Like the shepherds and wise men of that first Christmas, we Americans have always tried to follow a higher light, a star, if you will. At lonely campfire vigils along the frontier, in the darkest days of the Great Depression, through war and peace, the twin beacons of faith and freedom have brightened the American sky. At times, our footsteps may have faltered, but trusting in God's help, we've never lost our way. ... So let this holiday season be for us a time of re-dedication. ... Tonight, in millions of American homes, the glow of the Christmas tree is a reflection of the love (of) Jesus. ... Christmas means so much because of one special child."

Taken from President Ronald Reagan's 1981 Christmas address, televised and broadcasted on the radio from the Oval Office for the entire nation and world to hear.

From the Glory of heaven to this sin saturated and sin soaked world God came down from on high in the form of man to a crudely fashioned crib in Bethlehem to a cruel cross upon Calvary’s Hill to give the greatest gift ever.  Thank God for the Saviour!  Thank God for Salvation!  Thank God for reconciliation! Thank God for redemption!  Jesus is the one and only reason for the season. Glory to God!

Opportunities in 2017

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
Acts 4:13
We are approaching (Lord willing) another New Year. We stand at the threshold of opportunities. Opportunities to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16) and thus bearing the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Opportunities to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Opportunities to abide in Christ Jesus (John 15:1-11). Opportunities to preach and proclaim the Gospel (Mark 16:5). These are just a few that can be considered. We have an opportunity to leave a mark in this world for the Glory of God and the cause of Christ. What mark do you endeavor to leave behind with the upcoming time that the Lord allows you in 2017.
Our opening verse is one of my favorites. This is the mark I want to leave behind throughout the upcoming year, "They took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." In my home I want my wife to be able to say,"He has been with Jesus." When I am Preaching, Singing and praying in a revival meeting, conference or a special Sunday I want the people to be able to say, "He has been with Jesus." When I gather with family or friends I want all to be able to say, "He has been with Jesus." That is the mark I want to leave!
I took the photo at Hoover Dam in the summer of 2013. It struck me how the mark was prominent for all to see. I pray that we all have a desire to live in such a way that all around us will see that we have been with Jesus!

Thanks for Praying and thanks for visiting,

A Quick Truth

“The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1

This is the foundation upon Psalm 23 is built upon! The footers! The rebar! Solid and Sound! Not sinking sand.  Lord in our verse (Yahweh in Hebrew) is translated Jehovah- So… The Self Existing one- The One who has never had a beginning- The One who will never have an end- The great I am- The Sovereign One thus the Supreme One! He is over all so He sees all- He is in complete control! He is our Shepherd! That should make us shout! This is the person David is speaking of in Psalm 23.

A quick truth that can feed our hearts with gladness and security.

I Believe I'm About to have a Glory Fit!!

I will love thee, O Lord my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation.
Psalm 18:1-2

What does David reveal in this powerful Psalm?

1. Resolute- “I will”
2. Relationship- “Love thee”
3. Reverence- “O Lord”
4. Reliance- “my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation.”
What a life of faith we could have and live if we like David would proclaim such things. It is a burden upon my heart not only for myself, but for God's people. We too often (Spiritually speaking) live like paupers When Almighty God calls us to live a life of FAITH- To trust Him and Believe Him! I believe I'm about to have a Glory Fit!!!

Remember, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6

Encouragement

I have posted this many times and I often feel led to post it again.  I fear that many live their lives in fear instead of living by faith. We miss out on the best that Almighty God has planned for us as we struggle and worry our way through our lives. How about if we seek God's face and trust Him while walking in the Spirit?

I pray that the Lord uses this to encourage many!

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Faith is Trusting God even when:

1. Society says you’re foolish.

2. Satan says you’re finished.

3. Self says you’re forgotten.
