Will you pray for the service tomorrow in this village in Croatia? Will you be a part of something exciting that God is doing by praying fervently for souls to be saved and lives changed?
Prayers from around the world will make a difference around the world!! Let's Pray!!! “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” Ephesians 1:7 The devil likes nothing better than when the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is watered down to an unrecognizable rubble of human views and philosophies. Religion and traditions has been a sharp tool in the hands of the devil which has led many down the road to hell all through the ages. Many are preaching and teaching that the blood of Jesus is too barbaric, to unsettling, to controversial for the pulpits and the pews and so: I. The value of the Cross is not confirmed. II. The violence of the Cross is not considered. III. The victory on the Cross is not conveyed. Many have been and continue today, to be the pawns of Satan all the while leading many astray. In his book, Faith Undone, author Roger Oakland writes, “Some emerging church leaders do say they love the Cross, but an underlying theme is gaining momentum among them. It says Jesus’ going to the Cross was an example of sacrifice and servant hood that we should follow; but the idea that God would send His Son to a violent death for the sins of mankind-well that is not who God is. A loving God would never do that! Such a violent act would make Christianity a “slaughterhouse religion.” Such thinking should make us pray with a fervency for the lost that has not been matched in any time found in history. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” John 16:13-15 The Christian too often draws not from the heavenly source for truth and guidance, but from other sources that lead them astray. The believer needs to be as the well driller in his search for water, when the vein is found a line is ran down to the water so that it may be drawn out. The line spiritually speaking needs to be the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of truth will guide us into all truth. There is no shortage of truth from our heavenly Father; it is not to be rationed. The more that you mine the more you will find. A bumper crop is awaiting, an inexhaustible supply that time cannot wither and man cannot dilute. It is a lamp and a light, a treasure of great spoil, it is sweetness to our soul and food for our earthly journey. Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving ; sing praise upon the harp unto our God. Psalm 147:7
There are many blessings that I could list, but first and foremost I am a new creature in Christ! “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”(II Corinthians 5:17.) Glory to God!! Jesus is my Saviour and I am alive- I am truly alive! Hallelujah and bless His Name! I want to thank the many visitors who come to our website. I am thankful for your many prayers and the many kind words! You are a blessing! Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Hebrews 5:16
Prayer should not be just a morning event, but an all day occurrence. Be purposed today to be powerful in prayer as you go about your day. Draw close to God and with each breath that you draw be persistent in prayer. Practice that which Paul led of the Holy Spirit exhorted us to do, "Pray without ceasing" (I Thessalonians 5:17.) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3
I was not saved until the age of thirty six, and I remember hearing a message preached from Psalm one early on in my walk with the Lord. The Holy Spirit did a powerful work in my heart at the very moment the man was preaching. God spoke to me in a mighty way. Every choice and decision up to the time when I was saved was based on a lost man’s perspective (The constant ramblings of pop culture rang in my ears and thus sunk deep in my heart) and so as I listened to the message on Psalm one the Holy Spirit was revealing truth after truth. I made a decision to change my surroundings based on that message from God’s word, and in turn that changed where I stood. If I was at work and there was an off-colored joke being told, I turned from the one who was telling the joke and those who were participating in it. Also, I no longer went to the places where I used to hang out. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. With the Holy Spirits strength, I had many victories in the early days of being a babe in Christ. This is not only for the babes in Christ, but also for the seasoned saints, and the senior saints as well. We all need to be reminded of the wonderful truths of this Psalm. Reread our scripture for today and look at where your feet have taken you, and where you are standing at this very moment. What decisions have you made that have led to the path and where it is you are standing? I am thoroughly convinced the reason for so many long faced and defeated Christians is that they don't partake in one of the most simplest and yet powerful things- READING THEIR BIBLE! Peace seem to be a mystery to so many who are born again. Power in their day to day lives is sparingly a way of life. Joy is something they notice in others, but it is a place they rarely know. Hope seems to be something that others have, but it is a stranger to their lives. The Bible says, "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple" (Psalm 119:130.) The word of God must enter in before it can minister to us! God's word reveals who we are now in Christ Jesus and it brings to light the blessed benefits we have in and through our Saviour. It teaches us what we have in the here and now and what awaits us in the sweet bye and bye. Peace, Power, Joy and Hope are real today and heaven is a place we will one day call our home.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
The power has been provided through the Son of God to the saving of whosoever will call on His name! Glory!! Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Zechariah 4:6 I will be preaching tomorrow at Weston Baptist Church. It is a rural church in the buck brush and off the beaten path. They want the Bible to be preached and proclaimed! My wife and I will make the 155 mile round trip and I will take my guitar and I will sing a special. I will have my King James Bible and I will preach that which the Lord has given me to preach! I can't wait!! Pray for me. Hey Preacher, One's earthly standing has no influence on the effectiveness of one’s heavenly calling. Consider those who God Almighty called and sent to start the early church. God prepared and sent a handful of fishermen and a tax collector and they turned the world upside down. These chosen men of God were not known for intellect or eloquence, but these servants of God brought the treasure of saving knowledge to the world. Men of low rank became preachers of the most important message ever, the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. They spoke in plain terms yet they delivered soul saving truth. A plain spoken message brought in the Power and Might of GOD. Hey Preacher, We don’t need speech makers we need Holy Spirit Filled preachers. We need preachers who care nothing for the trinkets of this world, but who burn with a fire that can’t be extinguished by the devil, and all the discouragement that he, and his demons throw at them. We need preachers who have a fire deep within them for lost souls as well as the hurting, hungry and backslidden Christians. We need preachers who nurture a deep love for the Lord Jesus. We need preachers who aren’t looking for a slap on the back or a desire to please a mere man. We need preachers who live to see God glorified. We need preachers who fear the Lord more than the reproach of man. We need Heaven sent, Holy Spirit filled preachers. The church is limping and America is dying on the vine. We need Power in the Pulpits and knees bent in the closet. We need preaching and praying men upon the platform. Hey Preacher, I want to encourage you to continue fighting the good fight and preaching the good Word! Stand strong in Christ Jesus. Stand long in the power of the Holy Spirit. This is the specific time in history God has placed you. I want you to be excited about what God is wanting to do in your ministry. The world needs you and your people need you and the Gospel that you have been called to preach. Don't give up and don't give in. Be strong in the power of God's might! Dear Preacher,"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." II Timothy 4:2 |
