Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Doug and Robin Baker are missionaries in Gillette Wyoming at Western Baptist Missions Warehouse, which the Lord established in 2010, and is a ministry of helps to the Midwest and Western US. These choice servants of God have ministered to many and have seen the Lord work powerfully. Brother Doug has a health issue- According to CT scan and other testing, he is in the early part of Waldenstrom's (A cancer that begins in certain type of white blood cells). They will visit mayo clinic in Rochester MN (in lieu of Denver) on the 11th of February to see a specialist there. His request is that we pray for wisdom!

Would you pray for Brother Doug? Will you pray that the Lord gives wisdom, insight and direction to the doctors? Will you ask the Lord to encourage and strengthen Brother Doug his wife Robin and their family? Would you share this with others so that as many as possible can be praying?

Let's Pray!

Make the Day Count For Christ

Obstacles are opportunities to watch God move mightily in the life of every believer. Our faith is built in the stream of everyday life and not on the waves of emotion. The Bible says, "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10.) We surrender ourselves to the fact that God is in control and that He cares for us and has a plan and purpose for our lives. We move forward by faith as we allow Him full control to guide us moment by moment and day by day- It will be a life lived and not just time endured. That is real living! That is living, at its best. It is all about the choices that we make.

With the time Almighty God has given us we have the opportunities:
1. To Praise God for His mercy and goodness.
2. To Please God by trusting God.
3. To Pray without ceasing.
4. To Proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ

Abide in Christ Jesus

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
John 15:5

Andrew Murray wrote, “Are you leaving your mark for eternity on those around you?  It is not your preaching or your teaching, your strength of will or power to influence that will secure this.  All this depends on having your life full of God and His power.  And that, again, depends on your living the truly branchlike life of abiding in very close and unbroken fellowship with Christ.  It is the branch that brings forth much fruit, fruit will abide.”

The amount of God’s power in our lives depends on the degree that we abide in Christ.  What does the thermostat read when it comes to your fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ?  We often times pray for fruit while living knee deep in the world and waste deep in rebellion.  We can’t expect God to bless what He does not approve.  God’s power is not meant for rebels.

Let us examine ourselves and take inventory of our spiritual temperature.  We pray for revival in our churches, communities and country and that is what is needed, but we often speak words that don’t match up with the position and condition of our hearts.  Are you abiding in the true vine, the Lord Jesus or are you connected with the wild root of this world?  This question is for the born again believers.  What mark are you making with the life, time and talents you have been given?  Start right now by seeking the Lord in a fervent manner in your prayer time and allow the Holy Spirit complete access to your heart!

I pray that this sets a fire a blaze in many hearts to get into the Word of God!!

“For the word of God is quick and powerful sharper than any twoedged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit and the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”
Hebrews 4:12

The Days we Remember

“Without God, there could be no American form of Government, nor an American way of life. Recognition of the Supreme Being is the first- the most basic- expression of Americanism. Thus the Founding Fathers saw it, and thus, with God’s help it will continue to be.” President Dwight D. Eisenhower

As my mom has grown older, she reflects back more and more on a way of life that has become a memory in her mind and in the mind of many others who recall how life once was in the United States of America. She recalls a time in the 1950’s when a Christmas program in a public school spoke of the birth of the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ without stutter and no one would dare come against the word of God that was shared in those programs in that little town where she grew up in Indiana so long ago. My friend, the old way is still the right way.
The further that we, as a Nation, step out on our own and away from God, the sooner we will find ourselves at a destination that no individual or nation should ever want to find themselves- at odds with Almighty God. The philosopher will smirk as he or she bathes in the glow of their own self-worth and toxic, ungodly doctrine of a Christ-less Christmas while spewing out countless words that fall like dead weight before the all-knowing God of the universe. The power hungry movers and shakers will complete another deal while motivated by greed and the constant lust for more. A good name and an honest way, built upon the foundation of an honest word, have been thrown out for fear of failure. Many leave the table of greed, success and lust, starving while the All Powerful God of the universe offers them the bread of life. These people need to be saved!

We have fallen so far from the living God that no one seems to notice. Those of us who call America home, are blessed beyond measure, but we have forgotten Jehovah Jireh- yes we have forgotten that God is the provider. Our land has the distinct odor of Sodom when we should be taking the humble stance of Nineveh after Jonah the evangelist came with a message from God, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown" (Jonah 3:4b.) After the man of God preached the message of God, the people of Nineveh (including the king) believed God. They fasted and they turned from their evil ways and God saw it. The Bible tells us that God, “Repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not" (Jonah3:10b.)

Oh, we need prayer warriors. We need old fashion, Daniel like praying men, women, boys and girls. We need to sound the horn and spread the word. We need to put on the whole armour of God and get down to business- on our face and our knees in our prayer closet and in the churches. This time of the year is a wonderful opportunity to share the gospel and to be a true light in the darkness- Because, Jesus is the reason for the season and the old way is still the right way.

A Powerful Place in Psalms 37

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Psalm 37:3-4

The Bible says, “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.”(Proverbs 3:13)  As a child of God, we must always come to God’s word for true wisdom for our lives.  One will find wisdom where wisdom lives, and in doing so they will gain understanding.  The Bible will lead us by its God-breathed instructions (2 Timothy 3:16). We will both find wisdom and understanding as the Holy Spirit illuminates God’s truth, these will not only impact our lives, but the lives of those around us.

What powerful words to live by.  When we trust in the Lord, we will continue on His path and in His will for our lives.  As we continue to trust, we will do good because we will be following Him.  The sure path of obedience will lead to good.  I find it interesting that we will plan a week or a day around the trust we put into a weather man or woman who really can’t guarantee for certain what a day might bring.  We need to take heed of David’s words, and as we do, we will feed on God’s faithfulness.  The good shepherd will look after us.  Psalm 23:1 is a wonderful reminder of God’s faithfulness, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”  The evildoer will trust in himself, and, in turn, they will find a hard way that resembles not the one who trusts and follows the Lord.

When the Lord becomes our delight, His delights will become our delights, and that is how we get the delights of our hearts.  After I was saved, God began a powerful work in my life.  There was a change in those things I once delighted in, and that change came through the Holy Spirit working in my heart, (John 16:7-8) and God’s word shaping and teaching me true delight.  David says, “Delight thyself also in the Lord.”  It starts with us and it is an action we must desire to initiate.

True Peace

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Dear believer, your peace depends on trust and your trust is derived from the truth, thus the truth of God’s Word is the foundation and ingredients of your peace. You must trust God or both heart and mind will not be kept they will become a fragmented playground for the devil to terrorize and torment you every step of the way. The enemy looks to divide and debilitate and he will use our lack of faith as a door to enter in and cause calamity. The Bible says, “Great peace have they which love thy love law: and nothing shall offend them” (Psalm 119:165). Those are thirteen simple, yet powerful words that can act as a mighty sword in the hands of every believer.

The sweet peace that passeth all understanding is awaiting you at this very moment. If you will trust the Lord in the midst of the storm your steps will be firm as you fix your eyes upon the one you can trust. What choice will you make at this very moment? It is your choice to make. Write these verses down and keep them with you throughout your day taking time to wash them over and through your heart again and again.

Victory in Jesus

Tonight at Lifeway Baptist Church while on the platform the pianist played Victory in Jesus during the offering. It took me back in time. A while after I was saved I attended Lifeway Baptist and one Sunday morning the song leader called out the page number and had us all stand. The hymn that morning, Victory in Jesus. I had never heard of or knew anything about the hymn until that moment. I remember thinking as we got deeper into the verses, this is about me- This is my story! I wanted to take a lap around the auditorium and shout. Fast forward to this evening and there it was again that good old hymn in that same place. From the pew to the platform to behind the pulpit and preaching the Word of God. God had a plan for my life nearly 18 years ago when He saved me and tonight the Lord reminded me in such a special way how He has brought it to pass and how He continues to guide me and lead me.

I praise the Lord for His matchless grace, mercy, kindness and love that he shows me again and again. I am not worthy of such things. I want to praise His name for such a life that He has given me, it truly is because of my "Victory in Jesus."

I want to encourage anyone who reads this to dream big in Christ Jesus- Trust Him with the totality of your life. He has the best plan. The Lord was good to us today and I am so grateful for the call on my life to preach the Mighty Word of God.

Thanks for Visiting & Thanks for Praying,
Bro. Tracy

The Sweetness of a Memory

This photo was taken on one of our many trips to visit my dad when he was sick. It is down the road from his old place.
One of the greatest sights and sounds that the Lord has allowed me to witness was when my dad was at one of his lowest points in his fight with cancer. He had a powerful dose of chemo and the man that walked out of the treatment center was not the same man that we all saw in the weeks after the treatment. Jodi and I had went to visit my dad and he asked me to sing and play for him. I sang a couple of gospel songs that I often sing when I preach. When I finished my dad began to sing these words in the strongest voice we had heard in weeks-

When I come to the river at the ending of day
When the last winds of sorrow have blown
There'll be somebody waiting to show me the way
I won't have to cross Jordan alone

I won't have to cross Jordan alone
Jesus died all my sins to atone
In the darkness I see
He'll be waiting for me
I won't have to cross Jordan alone

It would be just a few short months and my Dad would indeed go home to be with the Lord, but that night when he sang out loud with such a powerful and purposed voice- It had God all over it. It still rings in my heart today.

Thanks for visiting and Thanks for Praying,
Bro. Tracy Killinger

A Calm in the Storm

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber" Psalm 121:1-3

Be strengthened with the powerful truth that if you are a child of the Most High God He never slumbers. He is indeed your help and hope in every situation and scenario.

This photo was taken on a country road near my home town in February 2017 in the midst of some of the most fertile farm land in our county. I have traveled this well worn path many times to come and praise and to cry out to my Lord. At the time this photo was taken my Dad had been diagnosed with cancer and would be heaven bound in less than five months. I am often amazed at the beauty of God's creation and I have been strengthened again and again by the truth that the same God who has created such breathtaking beauty is the same God who is my help and hope from day to day.

Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying.
