Stay, stand and be strengthened in the power of God and His might! Don't give up! Don't give in! God is in control! Stay in His word! Stand upon His Word and be strengthened by His Word! You are not alone!

In this ever changing world there is a hope that the no one and I mean no one can alter or change. God does not change and the truth of His Word is not altered by time or by man. Leonard Ravenhill wrote," One of these days some simple soul will pick up the Book of God, read it, and believe it. Then the rest of us will be embarrassed." Let's purpose today to be the simple soul who reads the Word of God and believes the powerful and precious God breathed Word. I truly believe that if many would trust in Him who is worthy of our trust that victory would not be a tale that we would read about in the life of those in the past or the present, but victory would be a reality that would be lived out in the life of the Christian abundantly and visibly for all to see at this very moment. Too many seem to buy into the notion that the most godly people are only those in full time ministry and that are well known in their circle and possibly around the world. I don't believe that for one moment. I have met Christians that will never be known by the masses within the body of Christ who are faithful to the Lord and have bared much fruit as they have abided in Christ Jesus.
It is simple: 1. The Lord is your light! 2. The Lord is your salvation! 3. The Lord is the strength of your life! Those are three truths that should light a fire in your heart and cause your mouth to sing praise after praise to the God of Heaven. Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy That which the world offers is not filling or fulfilling. That which the world offers is laden with salt and stirs up the hunger deep within the soul. If it is money the wealthy man as well as the everyday man will want just one more dollar. If it is material items as soon as the next best thing comes out many will stand and wait in line for hours at a time to make the purchases in hope of quenching the hunger inside. If it is pleasure one finds themselves disgusted and unsatisfied. Sin never ever satisfies. Ever since the fall of Adam in the garden mankind has been trying to consume that which comes from the world to fill that which can only be made full by Him who is heaven sent. My friend, there is and always will be satisfaction to the utmost in Jesus Christ! The Bible says, "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst (John 6:32-35.) These verses are filled with heavenly hope and doctrinal dynamite. Glory to the Lamb of God! I never knew what true satisfaction was until I was saved. God's grace was plentiful and His mercy was and is undeserving. I praise the Lord for the life I have today in Christ Jesus. I posted this at the beginning of the month and it is hard to believe that the month of July is nearly finished . Let's finish strong! You will never get another opportunity to live whole heartily for the Lord Jesus today or in the existing days that makes up the month of July in the year 2014. I won't and you won't get another shot. It all comes down to what we choose to do with each second, each minute and each hour that God has gifted us with. Let's live each day with the desire, the want and the goal that people would say of us the same words they used to describe Peter and John in Acts 4:13b , "...They took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." What will we give today and what will we one day leave behind? Will it be something of substance or will it be wood, hay and stubble? I feel a certain intensity, a certain fervency, a certain pressing, a certain quickening in my steps and desire within me to set down a spiritual legacy of stepping stones right now at this very moment with the time and life that God continues to give me. I must and you must; we must be considering those who are coming up behind us. Lord willing, the next generation will be used in a mighty way for the glory and cause of Christ Jesus. I am grateful and thankful for those who God used in the past to kindle a heavenly flame in the next generation in their certain time in history, but God didn't pull up stakes and leave after the 1800's were over. The Holy Spirit is just as powerful today as He was in past days and God's word has not changed, it is still quick and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword! God still has the power readily available to do a powerful work today. The question is not God's capability it is whether or not we will make ourselves available to God. The Holy Spirit is just as powerful today as He was in past days and God's word has not changed, it is still quick and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword! Set a stake in the ground today as to how you spend the time you are given to finish out this month. Make a choice for Christ Jesus to be glorified in all that you do and purpose in your heart that you would be minimized. It will be the best choice that all of us could ever make. Let's finish strong!
There is no better place for one to live their life than under the shadow of the Almighty. I have a small lawn care business and I use to mow the grass at a vacant house that was for sale. It was a beautiful place that had a front porch that covered the front of the whole house. When I was finished with my work I would grab my Bible and read Psalm ninety-one out loud. It was just me and the Lord and as I would read there was a breeze often time that blew through that open porch. I treasure such memories. So many times God encouraged me at that vacant home with many powerful reminders from His word. I was a fairly young Christian and these words blessed me and built me up in a mighty way, "Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him. I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation" (Psalm 91:14-16.)
I want you to blessed and built up today in the Lord from His Word. I want you to be reminded just as I was on the front porch of that vacant house time and time again. You need to go no further than the pages of God's mighty word and strength will be gloriously provided and the truths that you delve into will shed a light upon you that the devil and all his angels can't dampen. Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments. I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O Lord, according unto thy word. Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments. My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law. The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end. Psalm 119:105-112 Our Prayer: Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Psalm 119:105 Take your time and allow the Holy Spirit to illuminate wonderful truths as you walk up and down this section of scripture. What a day in both services at Calvary Baptist Church! The saints were stirred and the altar was full this morning! It was great to see God work in such a powerful way. Thank you for your prayers- God answered! I will be preaching this coming Wednesday at Millgrove Bible Baptist Church. I want God's power upon the preaching. Please pray for me. Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy A.W. Tozer wrote, "We will never be where we should be until we cease to hunt after happiness and begin to hunt after holiness." I found this quote in a note book that I had kept in 2007. I had been saved for five years and I had only recently heard of A.W. Tozer. I remember being surprised at the lackadaisical approach many believers took when it came to holiness and their love for the Lord Jesus Christ. In John 14:15 the Lord Jesus says, "If you love me keep my commandments." Even as a new convert I took that serious. Now, when the Lord saved me He began to do a work in me. I was as green as any new convert has ever been. I needed a compass and a map to find Genesis. It was the word of God as it was being preached and taught to me that slowly and powerfully changed my life. The Holy Spirit was illuminating truth after truth. It was an exciting time and that excitement continues this very moment. God's word lit a holy fire in me as I read "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy" (Peter 1:13-16.)
I am fearful that many within the body of Christ are not purposed in their commitment to the Lord or in their love for the Lord. Many seem to think that holiness is an old time word that should be left in the Bible, hidden in the pew and locked away in the church house. A life separated unto God will be the best life. I have found that as I walk with the Lord my desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to live a holy life is the by product of staying in step with Almighty God. That will be living at its best. Such a life will bring glory and honor to Almighty God and will also bring good to the saints as well as the sinners. If you were to take your spiritual temperature what would the thermometer read? Would it reveal a life in pursuit of happiness or a life of holiness? Senior Pastor Bobby Thomas and the good folks at Fellowship Baptist Church in Calhoun, Georgia will be having a Revival meeting next week Monday thru Thursday 7:30 nightly. Pastor David Pettyjohn from Teloga Baptist Church will be preaching the meeting. Let's pray that God uses Bro. Pettyjohn in a powerful way as he preaches the Word of God. Let's pray that God does a mighty work each night in the stirring and moving in the hearts and lives of the saints and in the saving of many souls! We have an opportunity to be a part of their meeting from wherever we call home by the lifting up of our voices to heaven on their behalf in prayer! Let's pray! Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?" Psalm 85:6 I.The Source of Revival- "Wilt thou" Is God. II.The Subject of Revival- "Us" It is God's people. III.The Satisfaction of Revival- "Rejoice in thee" It's the joy found in the Lord. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. John 2:5 If we would follow the Lord Jesus as the servants did at the Cana wedding feast our lives would be so much better off. By doing, “Whatsoever he saith,” we would save a lot of heartaches and headaches. It would bring a halt to the ‘what ifs’ and indecision. We have been given a free will and so we have choices to make. I have stated repeatedly that it has always been about the choices that you and I are making. We will either be rebels who believe that we know what's best or we will die to self and be filled with the Holy Spirit and be empowered and enabled to live the best life that God has planned for us. Can anyone truly say that any choice outside of God’s commandments and directions has been of any benefit? God's way is the best way always. The Lord Jesus says in John 14:14,”If ye love me, keep my commandments.” My wife has often spoken about how when she was growing up that it was her love and reverence for her parents that she held close to her (as well as their commands and directions that she was to follow) that led her to make right decisions in her life. Don’t miss the spiritual application of this. We should approach the Lord’s commandments in the same manner. Rebellion will lead us in the wrong direction every time. Time after time I believe we quote Psalm 119:105 and never really give it much thought. The psalmist writes, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Will you please consider and contemplate God’s word as the light that shines upon your feet and your path. Don't be a rebel. Trust God with the totality of your life. That will be a great first step to start your day. |
