Sweet Peace

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7

Dear believer, your peace depends on trust and your trust is derived from the truth, thus the truth of God’s Word is the foundation and ingredients of your peace.  You must trust God or both heart and mind will not be kept they will become a fragmented playground for the devil to terrorize and torment you every step of the way. The enemy looks to divide, destroy and debilitate and he will use our lack of faith as a door to enter in and cause calamity. The Bible says, “Great peace have they which love thy love law: and nothing shall offend them” (Psalm 119:165). Those are fourteen simple, yet powerful words that can act as a mighty sword in the hands of every believer.

The sweet peace that passeth all understanding is awaiting you at this very moment. If you will trust the Lord in the midst of the storm your steps will be firm as you fix your eyes upon the one you can trust.

Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying,
Bro. Tracy

Abiding in Christ

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
John 15:5

Andrew Murray wrote, “Are you leaving your mark for eternity on those around you?  It is not your preaching or your teaching, your strength of will or power to influence that will secure this.  All this depends on having your life full of God and His power.  And that, again, depends on your living the truly branchlike life of abiding in very close and unbroken fellowship with Christ.  It is the branch that brings forth much fruit, fruit will abide.”

The amount of God’s power in our lives depends on the degree that we abide in Christ.  What does the thermostat read when it comes to your fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ?  We often times pray for fruit while living knee deep in the world and waste deep in rebellion.  We can’t expect God to bless what He does not approve.  God’s power is not meant for rebels.

Let us examine ourselves and take inventory of our spiritual temperature.  We pray for revival in our churches, communities and country and that is what is needed, but we often speak words that don’t match up with the position and condition of our hearts.  Are you abiding in the true vine, the Lord Jesus or are you connected with the wild root of this world?  This question is for the born again believers.  What mark are you making with the life, time and talents you have been given?  Start today by seeking the Lord in a fervent manner in your prayer time and allow the Holy Spirit complete access to your heart!

The Way of Life

Let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy eyes. O Lord, my strength and redeemer.  Psalm 19:14

I wonder what our lives would be like if we started each day with such a prayer?  What if we desired to live in a way that would bring glory to God from the inside out. I am certainly not speaking of an outward showing. I am not inviting you to live a life of dry and lifeless religion. I believe we would walk in victory while being a difference maker in the lives of those around us if we took time to consider our short verse each and every day. The words that flow from our mouths simply reveal that which is the meditation of our hearts. In the country they say, "What's down in the well comes up in the bucket." The psalmist has a want to live life in such a manner that will please the Lord.

Before you step out of the door or before the starting gun is fired that signifies that your race for today has begun take time to ponder who it is you are desiring to please the most. We only have one chance at living today, so let's choose wisely that which is found in our mouth and that which is in our heart. The choices that we make will either reveal to all of those we encounter throughout our day that Jesus Christ is indeed the Lord of our lives or that we are at the helm.

Take the time meditate on our powerful verse. I believe it can be life changing when it comes to your walk with the Lord.

God's Word always leads us in the right direction and upon the the right path.
30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.
31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.
32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.
39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

Psalm 119:30-39

Let's be
1. Persistent- Verses 30-32
2. Prayerful- Verses 33-39
Than we will live Powerfully and we will know Purposed filled lives.

A Ministry Moment: Wings with "The Word."

And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.  Mark 1:38

Last summer I was blessed to spend a week with Pastor, church planter and pilot Todd Bell and his family. I was led of the Lord to go to the state of Maine and wanted nothing more than to bring glory to God and to serve. Let's just say it was a time I will never forget. I want to shed light on the work that Almighty God is doing in the state of Maine through the Wings with "The Word" Ministry. I have asked Pastor Bell to share his heart in regards to that which God has called him to do. I pray others will be stirred to dream BIG in Christ Jesus. I pray it will stir others to pray and to possibly  become a part of this ministry. I pray it will burden others to have a desire to do that which God has called them to do- Remember, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10)  LET"S DREAM BIG!

The year was 1998, the place was the prayer ground that I often resorted to in seeking the Lord, and the burden was Wings with “The Word”!  As I was praying during this time the God of Heaven stirred me out of a verse that I had studied in Mark 1:38.  This verse was saying to me that Christ had preached and ministered in one location, but told the disciples, “let us go into the next towns that I may preach there also."  God used this verse to burden me to begin to pray about the next towns.  The question that kept coming to my mind was, what about the next towns?  Do they know Christ?  Are they ready for heaven?  Wouldn’t they love to hear the good news of salvation?  All of these questions kept stirring in my mind.  The Lord was using these verses to stir up a desire that I had to fly and reach the next towns with the gospel.  During this time the Lord reminded me of a passion to fly.  I remember as a kid being so thrilled with airplanes.  I said, “Lord please do not tease me with this!”  Well I soon found out the Lord was not teasing me, but putting together an aviation ministry that I would found to reach the next towns with the gospel.

Let’s fast forward a little-  I started flying in 1999 and secured my license soon after.  I purchased a Cherokee 140 and begin using it to fly all over this region of the Northeast!  Now some seven churches later and many more to come I am still flying.  I have flown over 2500 hours for The Lord Jesus Christ and redeemed countless hours of time.  Our plane has been used by God to help me propagate the gospel here in this region.  What a joy and delight it has been.  Thank you for praying for me and the ministry of Wings with “The Word”!  This ministry is tied to the Calvary Baptist Church of Sanford, Maine.  If you have any questions please feel free to write me @ tbell@metrocast.net

Prayer Warrior 2016

Elijah was a man of prayer. The scripture teaches us he was just that- a man (see James 5:17-18.) Paul was a man whose every breath seemed to be drawn to pray. Hannah was a woman of prayer whose prayers were not born on the surface, but arose from deep down in the depths. The Lord Jesus Christ prayed powerfully and purposely in the garden of Gethsemane. He was sorrowful and very heavy and upon His face was His position. It was a time of prayer before a season of suffering (see Matthew 26:36-39.) They all were people of prayer.

How about us today?  Will we, in 2016, purpose to be men and women of prayer? E.M. Bounds wrote,“Our praying, however, needs to be pressed and pursued with energy that never tires, a persistency which will not be denied, and a courage which never fails.” Oh to be people of prayer. To know the delight of interceding on the behalf of another. The battle stance that is much needed today is to be upon our knees on our face or in a chair. Let's make 2016 a year to remember as we see the Lord working mightily as we call out to Him!

The Proper Perspective

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
1 John 2:15-17

A short time after I was saved, I remember these verses jumping off the page of my Bible. It was like a jack hammer breaking away that which was false (the world and its desires) and unearthing that which was truth. The truth was being revealed about the reality of this world.  It was an exciting time that I look back on fondly because a veil was being pulled back and I truly began to see and understand the truth. I can’t tell you how many times I said to myself, “I can’t believe how wrong I have been about so many things!”  Psalm 119:105 says it perfectly, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” I had never known anything, but the world and its ways.  John is speaking of the world system.  That which functions in a way that is the complete opposite of God and His Word is the world system.  Sin being the center attraction and the lost following right along.  As a babe in Christ, I needed the proper perspective and what better place to find it than in God’s Word. We all need a proper perspective.

Dear believer, contentment will never be found in this world.  Everything has an expiration date on it. Everything is fleeting and is as a hand full of smoke which we cannot hold on to.  This should not make us as believers depressed or down trodden.  Remember, we are, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).  AMEN!!

David wrote, “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity” (Psalm 37:1).  Don’t allow what may appear to be the smooth road that the wicked travels on fool you into thinking they have it made.  The second verse of Psalm thirty-seven says, “For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.”  Keep your eyes upon Jesus!  Keep your mind filled with God’s Word!  Get and know the proper and powerful perspective that is found in the precious Word of God. Don’t get caught up in that which is fleeting and fruitless, but continue down the old path that is tried and true.  God will never lead you astray.

Our Thirst For God

“O God, thou art my God: early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is”
Psalm 63:1

I want to challenge you.  I want you to be honest with yourself.  Does our verse reflect your desire and thirst for God?  David, the author of this Psalm, has been one who I have studied quite often in my nearly fourteen years as a Christian.  His fire and desire for the Lord challenges me.  David was not a mere Sunday morning church goer.  He was sold out to his Lord God seven days a week.   Circumstances did not dictate his desire for the Lord.

Revival in each individual believer will be the direct effect of the choices each individual believer makes in their lives.  Our choice to have more and more of God will never light the torch of revival in our hearts if we are simply doing it to gain the approval of a spouse, a friend or to impress ones parents or Pastor.  It must be authentic and real for it to truly have an effect in our lives and bless the lives of those around us.

What is it that sits on the throne of your heart and life at this very moment?  What is it that consumes and keeps you from a deep, rich and abiding relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ?  Only you can answer these questions and I pray that you would seek the Lords face in a mighty way and allow the Holy Spirit to do a revealing work in your heart this very moment.  I pray that it would be our desire to echo the words of David, “My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee.”

I truly believe Revival can be a Reality in the life of each believer in 2016!

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

A reminder of God's glorious gift and goodness!  If that doesn't make you want to shout you might want to check your GLORY PULSE!!
