What We Need In America!

Picture
What we need in America is Persistent Prayer Warriors who don't flinch at the fiery darts of the enemy, but who are dressed in the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-17).  What we need in America is the born-again to be doers of the word (But, be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves- James 1:22). What we need is to soak America in prayer and saturate America with the Word of God. What we need is Pastors, Preachers and Evangelist to do that which Almighty God has called them to do.

With that said-

Hey Preacher,
One's earthly standing has no influence on the effectiveness of one’s heavenly calling. Consider those who God Almighty called and sent to start the early church. God prepared and sent a handful of fishermen and a tax collector and they turned the world upside down. These chosen men of God were not known for intellect or eloquence, but these servants of God brought the treasure of saving knowledge to the world.  Men of low rank became preachers of the most important message ever, the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  They spoke in plain terms yet they delivered soul saving truth. A plain spoken message brought in the Power and Might of GOD.

Hey Preacher,
We don’t need speech makers we need Holy Spirit Filled preachers.  We need preachers who care nothing for the trinkets of this world, but who burn with a fire that can’t be extinguished by the devil, and all the discouragement that he, and his demons throw at them.  We need preachers who have a fire deep within them for lost souls as well as the hurting, hungry and back slidden Christians. We need preachers who nurture a deep love for the Lord Jesus. We need preachers who aren’t looking for a slap on the back or a desire to please a mere man. We need preachers who live to see God glorified.  We need preachers who fear the Lord more than the reproach of man. We need Heaven sent, Holy Spirit filled preachers.  The church is limping and America is dying on the vine.  We need Power in the Pulpits and knees bent in the closet. We need preaching and praying men upon the platform.

Hey Preacher,
I want to encourage you to continue fighting the good fight and preaching the good Word!  Stand strong in Christ Jesus. Stand long in the power of the Holy Spirit. This is the specific time in history God has placed you.  I want you to be excited about what God is wanting to do in your ministry. The world needs you and your people need you and the Gospel that you have been called to preach. Don't give up and don't give in. Be strong in the power of God's might!  Dear Preacher,"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." II Timothy 4:2

Be encouraged! Revival can be a Reality!

Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
Acts 8:35

O, my!!!  This sets off a heavenly explosion in my heart! It brings on a hallelujah fit! It lights a fire in me that the world, the flesh, the devil and anyone else could never extinguish! Amen!  Hey! What did Philip do? "And preached unto him Jesus." My friend, tomorrow morning you will have the privilege and the honor to stand up and preach and proclaim Jesus Christ the Saviour!  We have been called and sent to preach the Gospel-The Good News!

I pray that there is an anticipation tonight for what God is going to do tomorrow morning. I pray that there is an excitement in you that matches your anticipation. I pray that the Good News of the Lord Jesus is as fresh and fiery in  the depths of your very being as it was the first time you preached it! Preacher, be filled with the Holy Spirit and anticipate an unction from on High and "Cry aloud and spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet" (Isaiah 58:1a.) Preach the Word!-  It is what is most needed for a lost and hurting world.

Our Steps = Our Walk

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,…”-Psalm 1:1a

A key word in our passage is the word counsel.  I want you to consider the counsel that is spoken of here and who it is that is offering the counsel, or ruling principles.  Run it through your mind again.  "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly."  The ungodly, or the wicked, it is their counsel that the child of God is warned to not walk in.  The Bible says in Proverbs 12:5 "The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit."  Webster’s defines deceit as a catching or ensnaring, the misleading of a person:  the leading of another person to believe what is false, or not to believe what is true.  That is why we must follow the directions from Proverbs 4:26 – 27 that says "Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.  Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:  remove thy foot from evil."  When we ponder our steps, our starting point will be a solid position based not on the counsel of the ungodly, but the word of God.  You will not walk in the counsel of the ungodly when your steps are grounded in the principles of God.  Our first step is vitally important.  It sets our course for the direction we will be heading.  My friend, where is it you find yourself at this very moment?  What path are you on?  Better yet whose path are you on? Are you following the Lord or have you veered to the right or the left?  I pray you will make the right choice, and in doing so, you will know the blessings of God.

The Truth About Life

As a new believer the Lord placed this precious verse upon my heart again and again as a blessed assurance of my position in Christ Jesus.  The devil would beat on me constantly with the club of doubt. I was a babe in Christ who had been the chief of sinners and the devil would remind me of those sins, but God's Word taught me, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). That is the truth about real living and the real life, because, "He that hath the Son hath life." Do you? If you are uncertain of your salvation please visit our "Decision and Destiny" page. It will show you by using the Bible how you can be saved.

Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying,

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
Proverbs 3:13
-14

I know many people who are rich in possessions and position.  They are well known, they are highly thought of.  Recognized by many, but known by few.  Their possessions help define their position.  Nothing is out of their reach.  They seem restless and relentless in their pursuit of joy and happiness.  They seem to have it all, yet the pursuit never seems to end in their quest to find some kind of meaning in their lives. The inward storm of their souls is outwardly played out in the constant revolving door of new possessions and the unquenchable desire for another new position.  These people in God’s economy are paupers.  No amount of silver and no amount of fine gold compares to the riches one gains from being born again and from the wisdom and understanding that is gleaned from God’s Word as a child of God.

I believe that the Christian will find true contentment in the wealth of knowing that their sins are forgiven and that they know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have peace with God (Romans 5:1.) With this truth as an unshakeable foundation, the born again will see their heavenly portfolio expand as they spend more and more time in the Word of God.  They will come to understand and embrace that what they have is more precious than rubies and anything (I mean anything!) that they could ever desire. They will come to know true wisdom and understanding.  That is true wealth.

2 Chronicles 32:1-8

1
After these things, and the establishment thereof, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself.

2 And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem,

3 He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city: and they did help him.

4 So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?

5 Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance.

6 And he set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake comfortably to them, saying,

7 Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:

8 With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

Everyday Wisdom From Proverbs

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.  For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”-Proverbs 2:1-6

Isn’t it interesting the extremes that many will go to in pursuit of a goal or a dream?  Many say, “I am willing to do anything at any cost to achieve that which I have put my heart, mind and soul into.”  I am in no way saying as believers we should not give our best in all things that we do, that would run contrary to God’s Word.  The Bible says, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men” (Colossians 3:23.)  Now- with that being said, what if we approached God’s Word with the same reckless abandon as we do for training for a marathon or a financial plan we devise in hopes of making our selves richer or any other pursuit that we are willing to go to great extremes for.

Our desires will shape our priorities.  Those priorities will reveal where we place God’s Word at in our life. Where God’s Word is found in such a list will be the difference in living a life completely given over to the Lord or to the world and our flesh.  We ultimately decide by the choices that we make.  Our Scripture admonishes us to receive and hide the Lord’s commandments within us, and to cry after knowledge, and lift up our voice for understanding.  These are actions that we as believers must decide upon!

Many have spent countless hours that have led to years in pursuit of that which is fleeting.  Notice in our Scripture the intensity of seeking and searching after the understanding and knowledge found in the Word of God.  The wonderful truth is that God is willing to give wisdom if the believer will come.  What is your number one pursuit?  What is at the top of your list of priorities in your life?  Often time within the writings on this blog and the website I have hammered over and over again the importance of our choices and decisions and how the choices and decisions that we make will dictate the life that we will live and lead.  I spent the biggest chunk of my life dead in my trespasses and sins thus I was lost and hell bound, but now I desire and I thirst most of all for that which God desires in my life. My prayer for those who read this is that your desire and intensity will match the Words in our Scripture today when it comes to your pursuit of God and His powerful, precious and enduring Word.

There will be guaranteed treasure when the child of God has a white hot pursuit, determination and desire for true wisdom, knowledge and understanding that only the God of heaven can give.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Psalm 37:7

We will find rest in the one we trust.  Contentment will be a by-product of our learning to trust God.  And why is that?  Because we will find rest when we trust that He knows what’s best for the totality of our lives and that He is over everything.  We often time either want to take the reins out of the Lords hands or struggle with giving them over to Him.  I would not be truthful if I did not include myself in this struggle.  We must rest in the Lord and wait patiently.  Patience is built when past provisions are remembered. Charles Spurgeon once wrote, “Time is nothing to Him; let it be nothing to you.  God is worth waiting for.”  We are reminded many times throughout the Word of God to, “Fret not.”  I have learned repetition is a good tool for learning and it seems to be a discipline we find in God’s word.  We are not to fret because of the wicked and their evil devices.  The wickedness of the schemer shall not go unnoticed, it might be a secret in their heart, but the Bible says, “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”  (Proverbs 15:3.)  Dirty success is the design of the Devil and will one day be brought to light.

Trust in the Lord today- like never before. "He is worthy of our trust."

The Powerful and Precious Blood Of Jesus

5/26/2015

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”

Ephesians 1:7

From time to time I am going to re-post this blog.  I never know who might come across the website or my twitter account (
@tracykillinger).  I want the truth to be known in regard to Jesus Christ the Saviour.  I want the truth about the blood of Jesus Christ to be posted, presented and proclaimed in every way possible.  Social media can be a mighty tool in the hands of God!  To some of you it will be a precious reminder of a powerful truth.  For others it will be something completely new, but it is something that you need to know.

The devil likes nothing better than when the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is watered down to an unrecognizable rubble of human views and philosophies.  Religion and traditions has been a sharp tool in the hands of the devil which has led many down the road to hell all through the ages.  Many are preaching and teaching that the blood of Jesus is too barbaric, to unsettling, to controversial for the pulpits and the pews and so:

I. The value of the Cross is not confirmed.

II. The violence of the Cross is not considered.

III. The victory on the Cross is not conveyed.

Many have been and continue today, to be the pawns of Satan all the while leading many astray. In his book, Faith Undone, author Roger Oakland writes, “Some emerging church leaders do say they love the Cross, but an underlying theme is gaining momentum among them.   It says Jesus’ going to the Cross was an example of sacrifice and servant hood that we should follow; but the idea that God would send His Son to a violent death for the sins of mankind-well that is not who God is.  A loving God would never do that!   Such a violent act would make Christianity a “slaughterhouse religion.”  Such thinking should make us pray with a fervency for the lost that has not been matched in any time found in history.

This is not a cry or a complaint- This is a call, this is a challenge to stand your ground and hold the line when it comes to God’s Word.   In an ever changing world where truth seems to be scarce, hold the line; where wisdom (godly wisdom) has been thrown out the window, stand your ground.  The stand you take today will be firm footing for someone tomorrow.  The truth and the wisdom of the Bible have been set aside.  This is nothing new.  In the third chapter of Genesis, Satan, the deceiver, planted the seeds of doubt in the mind of Eve.  God’s instructions were clear and with consequences.  They were not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The consequence was death.  The serpent deceived Adam and Eve and sin and death were introduced into the world.  The Bible says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12).   Deception has its roots in the Garden and the devil was the author, he is still authoring deception today.

It is through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross at Calvary that the debt of sin has been paid. To down play, dumb down or delete the Blood of Christ, is to completely take away from the truth of God’s Word, the very sacrifice that is needed for the cleansing of the sins of lost man. Without the blood of Jesus Christ, there is no hope.   The Bible gives many wonderful truths concerning the blood of Christ.  I would like to share three of them.

I. Cleansing Blood- “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood” (Revelation 1:5.)  The importance of the Blood is so great that the devil will go to great links to discredit it.  Share the truth and never leave out the cleansing Blood of The Lord Jesus Christ.

II. Redeeming Blood- “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14.) The word redeemed means, “to release a prisoner by the payment of a ransom.”  The ransom was paid by Jesus on Calvary and through His finished work on the Cross the lost sinner can be set free as they come to Christ through faith. Thank God for the redeeming Blood of Jesus.

III. Sustaining Blood- “The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (I John 1:7.) As believers, the Bible teaches us that we have an advocate, His name is Jesus.  When one goes to court, they take an advocate (lawyer) with them and he or she pleads their case.  The Lord Jesus is our advocate before the throne of God.   Hebrews 4:15-16 is a powerful section of scripture that each believer should take the time to walk in, to study upon and plant in their hearts, "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."  Bible teacher Warren Wiersbe writes, "When we confess our sins to God, because of Christ's advocacy God forgives us."  It is not a matter of if we will sin but when we will sin but the Bible says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I John 1:9.)  That is the sustaining Blood of Christ.

The devil wants nothing more than the cleansing, redeeming and sustaining Blood of the Lord Jesus to be absent from the pulpits and thus missing from the pews.   That is why it is of most vital importance that it is preached, proclaimed and shared because , “Without shedding of blood is no remission” (forgiveness.)

If you are unsure about whether or not you are saved and going to heaven I want to invite you to visit the: Decision and Destiny page on this website.  There are multiple languages that are available. Please take the time to consider your eternal destiny.

In The Desert

“Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.”

Exodus 3:1

There is two ways one can approach their desert experiences.  They can see such a time as desolation and despair or they can allow God to shape and prepare them for His purpose.  Our verse says, “Moses kept the flock.”  He stayed busy with the work the Lord had given him, and within the day to day tasks he was in the hands of the master.  I have learned so much more on the back forty than I have on the front porch.  We live in a society where results are measured by how much we have and how quickly we attain it.  God has His schedule and His time; one would be wise to allow His will to be done in their lives.   God will be glorified and we will find ourselves on the path He has planned.

None of us will more than likely ever have the awesome responsibility that Moses had of leading a massive amount of people, but we like Moses will know the desert.  God certainly knows what is best in the preparing of the saint for the work He has for them.  We know each believer has work that the Lord has planned for them, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians2:10).

Embrace the desert and the place God has you at this very moment.  The quicker one learns to embrace the season of being in the desert the sooner they will learn just how much God is in control.  Be clay in the Masters hands and you will one day look back and thank God for His wondrous plan for your life.
