Dwelling in the Secret Place

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

Dwelleth – Sit down, sit still, tarry
Abide- Lodge, spend the night, pass the storm

In the secret place God will give us the anointing of the Spirit-

Instead of pacing, pressing, pushing, pulling, priming and pumping- Instead of worrying, wondering and wilting you will come up out of the secret place with a fire in your bones and a hallelujah upon your lips not based on mere emotion, but on the Word and Power of God. You will not simply endure you will engage in true living.

You will:

A. Walk in the Spirit…Gal. 5:16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

B. Worship in the Spirit…John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

C. Witness in the Spirit…Acts 1:8b “Ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”

We will miss out when we leave out the powerful and precious secret place where we gather with Almighty God. The weight of our words and witness has nothing to do with position or prestige it has everything to do with the power of God.

Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying,
Bro. Tracy

We Must Not Neglect Our Time In the Secret Place.

The devil will fight you every inch of the way as you plan and prepare to come to the secret place.
I believe the secret place will be a place of fertile soil where Almighty God will meet with His Children in a mighty way.  I believe the devil hates the secret place of prayer because it is a place where God can do a work in and through and for His children. We must not neglect such a wonderful place.

 A Revival Fire

"The freer the church is of the spirit and principles of the world, the more influence she will exert in it. The believer sees that the only way to answer his calling is by being crucified to the world. The only way to withdraw himself from its power is to live in Christ and to rely on Him to go into it and bless it. He lives in heaven and walks on earth." Andrew Murray

I have a burden for my pastor friends and the folks who attend their churches. Revival fire will only burn as bright as the fire that is found in each individual believer.  So I say, “Let the fire Burn!”

That which we abide in cannot stay hidden, because what we have rooted ourselves in or given ourselves over to will eventually bud out and sooner or later the fruit will be known. Jesus said, "He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit" John 15:5b (read John 15.)  We as individuals should never abide in or borrow from those things that are rooted in the world and its system, in hopes of adding something to our lives so that our walk with the Lord would be closer. John led of the Holy Spirit wrote, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world...And the world passeth away" (I suggest you read I John 2:15-17.) This world is fleeting and the fruit of this world is deceiving in that it looks good on the outside but the inside is rotten. Sin is often wrapped in the cloak of deception. What you see is certainly not what you will get. Many have fallen as they have walked in the flesh and been duped by the deceiver.

Our churches will only be as strong as each individual member. The children of Israel learned this at Ai when they experienced a great defeat because of Achan's sin (read Joshua 7:1-26.) As the pastor prays, visits, preaches and teaches, the people will be exposed to the word of God and the possibility for growth will be off the charts, but each church member has a choice and a decision to make to die to self and be filled with Holy Spirit and allow God to do a work in them as they follow the Lord and His commandments, or walk in the flesh and allow the world to be as weeds to hinder their growth while having a defiant affect on the church. The individual church member will either add revival fire to the church or they will act as water on the fire. The fire mustn’t only burn form the pulpit, but it must also be kindled in the pews!

Be Strengthened

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber" Psalm 121:1-3

Be strengthened with the powerful truth that if you are a child of the Most High God He never slumbers. He is indeed your help and hope in every situation and scenario.  This photo was taken on a country road near my home town in the midst of some of the most fertile farmland  in our county.  I have traveled this well worn path many times to come and praise and to cry out to my Lord. I am often amazed at the beauty of God's creation and I have been  strengthened again and again that the same God who has created such breathtaking beauty is the same God who is my help and hope from day to day.

Stop Carrying the Heavy Load

I am afraid that many put up a false front and a false face that paints the picture that they never deal with anything and that it would be below them if they ever did.  Something that hit me early on with the word of God was the transparency I found in the true accounts of so many of the saint’s lives.  The Apostle Paul stands out to me in all that he encountered and endured for the cause of Christ.  Paul was a man who worked with his hands and lived on his knees.  He was a tent maker, prayer warrior, preacher, missionary and soul winner whose heart burnt like a flame thrower in his love for the Lord. This man, which God used in a mighty way- five times received forty stripes save one, Three times he was beaten with rods, ship wrecked, bitten by a deadly viper, stoned and left for dead and thrown into prison.  He spent a night and a day in the deep and was forsaken by his friend Demas and gave testimony of standing alone, “At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge” (II Timothy 4:16.) Paul does go on to say in verse seventeen that the Lord stood with him and strengthened him.  My point is that Paul knew hardship and the discouragement of being forsaken and lonely.

God, indeed, supplies us with strength.  The first truth I want to plant in your heart is in the form of an Invitation that should solidify our steps and strengthen our souls, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved” (Psalm 55:22.) Listen my friend, you can be strengthened and not shaken. Why carry when you can cast the burden upon the Lord?  We don’t act as if there are no burdens we deal with it by bringing it to our Lord.  God also supplies us with strength and encouragement through friends.  The second truth I want to plant in your heart is in the form of an Example.  Paul was an encouragement to young Timothy and Paul had those who blessed him as well, “Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister’s son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;) And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision.  These only are my fellow workers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me” (Colossians 4:10-11.)  We need one another.  The lone ranger mentality will not work.  If you choose to go that route, there will be one who will be waiting and lurking in the underbrush.  I believe the devil likes nothing better than to see a believer who takes the lone ranger route he sees it as an opportunity to inflict much damage.

Why carry when you can cast your burden upon the Lord?

Fellowship with Christ Jesus

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
John 15:5

Andrew Murray wrote, “Are you leaving your mark for eternity on those around you?  It is not your preaching or your teaching, your strength of will or power to influence that will secure this.  All this depends on having your life full of God and His power.  And that, again, depends on your living the truly branchlike life of abiding in very close and unbroken fellowship with Christ.  It is the branch that brings forth much fruit, fruit will abide.”

The amount of God’s power in our lives depends on the degree that we abide in Christ.  What does the thermostat read when it comes to your fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ?  We often times pray for fruit while living knee deep in the world and waste deep in rebellion.  We can’t expect God to bless what He does not approve.  God’s power is not meant for rebels.

Let us examine ourselves and take inventory of our spiritual temperature.  We pray for revival in our churches, communities and country and that is what is needed but we often speak words that don’t match up with the position and condition of our hearts.  Are you abiding in the true vine, the Lord Jesus or are you connected with the wild root of this world?  This question is for the born again believers.  What mark are you making with the life, time and talents you have been given?  Start today by seeking the Lord in a fervent manner in your prayer time and allow the Holy Spirit complete access to your heart!

Bro. Tracy
