“And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.”
Genesis 39:10 Potiphar’s wife had her eyes on Joseph, but Joseph had his eyes on his God. Joseph had refused her advances day after day. Verse two of our chapter says, “And the Lord was with Joseph and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.” By the Lords blessing Joseph was overseer over Potiphar’s house and all that he had. Joseph did not allow such power and blessing to corrupt his heart for God. After Potiphar’s wife’s first advance the Bible gives us insight into Joseph’s love for the Lord, “But he refused, and said unto his masters wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; There is none greater in the house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Verses 8-9.) We must be grounded in the word and desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Remember, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13.) God is faithful! God is faithful to strengthen us against the wiles of the devil and the desires of the flesh. We are not alone in this battle. Fix your eyes upon Jesus, fix your heart upon God’s Word, and Fix your hunger upon the want to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
I want to apologize for not posting any new blogs over the past seven to ten days! I have been having trouble with my laptop and the problem is partly fixed, but not entirely!
I appreciate all of the visitors to the site and I am very grateful for all of your prayers! Please pray as I continue to try to get these technical difficulties ironed out!! God is good!!! Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy This request comes from Bro. Rob Deverell Youth Director at Friendship Baptist at Ewa Beach, HI. "This week is our school revival and evangelistic revival as well. We are praying for souls to be saved." Let's partner in prayer with these folks! Souls saved and lives changed! Let's come boldly to the throne of grace on their behalf! God is able! Revival is often the desire of many, but the plea of few! Let's pray! I am hungering and thirsting for more and more of Almighty God! I desire a powerful move of God in our meeting! Please pray for this meeting- Souls saved and the saints visibly and powerfully stirred! Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:4-5 I want to challenge you to sit yourself down in these two verses this week. Allow the Holy Spirit to do a work in your heart and thus a magnificent change can be possible as you move forward by faith and simply follow the Lord! Write these verses down! Put them on your phone or tablet! Keep these precious and powerful verses with you all the time. Commit them to your heart by memorizing them. I believe you will have power in your life that will not be man made, but will be brought about by the Holy Spirit. I also believe you will have and know true purpose in your life. Last, but certainly not least you will have a deep and abiding relationship with the Lord! I would be interested in hearing how it is God has worked in your heart throughout the week. Please you the contact form below! I am looking forward to hearing many wonderful testimonies! Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy Grab a hold of that which is rightfully yours in Christ Jesus! You don't have to limp around like one who is defeated, but stand strong in the power of the Lord and His might! If you have been born again you are a child of the most High God! Draw from that which is yours in Christ Jesus.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 Let's begin now to pray to God that He would do a powerful work in the hearts and lives of everyone who will be attending this conference! We need a stirring and a revival in the hearts of the born again! We need to see the saints excited and living for God! We need men, women, teens and the youth to be sold out and living for God in a way that brings glory to God and the Gospel to a lost and hurting world. 1. Pray for the preaching- The men preaching need our prayers! Holy Ghost power and unction!! 2. Pray for the people- The people in the pews need us to come down on their behalf! A stirring in the saints and salvation for the lost! 3. Pray for Pastor William Tyson and the dear saints and Woodlawn Baptist as they host this powerful conference! Let's PRAY!! "There is passion in the praying that prevails. Elijah was a man of passions all compact. There was passion in all that he did. All there was of him went into everything he did. God loves a man aflame. The lukewarm he cannot abide. He never keeps hot hearts waiting. “When ye shall search me with all your heart,… I will be found of you” (Jeremiah 29:13-14). When he prayed, he prayed in his prayer. Is there not much praying in which there is no prayer? The praying man was in his petition. Listen to his praying death chamber. Watch him on Carmel. Hear him plead the honor of God and cry unto the Lord for the affliction of the people. It is always the same: Abraham pleading for Sodom, Jacob in the stillness of the night, Moses standing in the breach, Hannah intoxicated with sorrow, David heartbroken with remorse and grief—Jesus in a sweat of blood. Add to the list from the records of the church, personal observation and experience, and always there is the cost of passion unto blood. It prevails. It brings God. There is no power like that of prevailing prayer." Samuel Chadwick "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105
"Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word." Psalm 119:114 "Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." Psalm 119:165 Too many Christians continue to borrow from the philosophies of the world. One such philosophy is what is known as "the power of positive thinking." What power is there to be found when ones hope is based purely on hope? There is no substance in such thinking. There is nothing wrong with being positive, but don't miss my point hope should have some muscle to it. Hope should have some substance to it because hope based on hope is rooted in emotion and emotion never stands nor stays for any length of time it eventually fizzles. True hope is rooted and built upon the foundation of truth. Such hope and truth will only come from the Word of God! True living takes place when the storms of life batter and beat upon the bow and the sails are nearly torn by the continuous sweeping wind, yet God's Word is as a light from a light house cutting through the night keeping us steady and on course as the ship rocks back and forth. That is living at its best, and not just any living, but living in the promises and the power of Christ Jesus and the Word of the Living God. One will find a light to show the way, a hope in the midst of the storm and a peace that no circumstance can dampen. |
