Thank you for praying for me to today. I had a liberty to preach and the saints were stirred and encouraged. Praise the Lord!
Thanks for visiting,
Bro. Tracy
God has opened many doors to preach His word and one of those doors is to many rural Baptist churches. Today my wife and I made our way to Indian Prairie Baptist church where I was scheduled to preach and teach a Sunday school class. The Church has been at its current location since 1832 which is in the heart of coal country in southern Indiana. We met this big guy on our way to the church this morning! Thank you for praying for me to today. I had a liberty to preach and the saints were stirred and encouraged. Praise the Lord! Thanks for visiting, Bro. Tracy

This request comes from Bro.Allen Domelle: "Pastor Larry Hobbs who pastors the Victory Baptist Church of Homestead, Florida, has requested prayer for his son, Silas. Silas was admitted to the hospital on Saturday and all the doctors are confused as to what is wrong. All the test came back normal which means it probably is not a virus, but rather a disease. His entire body is swollen and broken out in a rash. The doctors are concerned with this young boys health." "Please pray for the healing of this young boy. Pray that the LORD will give the doctors the wisdom to know how to determine what is wrong with the boy and how to treat him. Also, pray for the parents as they go through this difficult time." My friends you have been prayer warriors indeed! Now, let's continue! Lift of up Silas in his time of great need as well as his family! Let's pray while believing and believe while praying! When I read Psalm 42:1-2, my heart nearly skips a beat and my soul is set aflame, “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?" What do you feel when you read those words? What do you think of when you read those words? O my friend I pray that these words stir your soul and start a fire in your heart. I can recall as if it was only yesterday, the summer of 2005. It was a time that God had set aside for me to walk up and down His precious word. I am not speaking of a quick jaunt, but a season of stepping down inside of the word of God. I allowed His wonderful truths to lay a hold of me as the Holy Spirit guided me. Psalm 42:1-2 was a part of that glorious summer. You see, as a lost man I had spent much time trying to find in the world that which only can be found in the Lord Jesus Christ. The spring that flows from the foundation of this world is salt laden. Sin never satisfies it only stirs up ones thirst. The devil is a liar who has deceived many down through the ages with his lies and unfulfilled promises. One day, what once was considered a choice morsel to the lost sinner will leave a rotten taste in their mouth in hell forever and ever. Jesus told the woman at the well, "Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life" (John 4:13b-14.) That is true satisfaction. I have drank from both wells and can attest that what the Lord Jesus gives is far greater. Since the summer of 2005 these words have not lost their grip on my heart, "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before him?" I desire to live each day in such a way. I pray the same for you. Let's pray this morning for the Sunday school teachers. Many have jobs and yet they set aside the time to pray and prepare over their lesson wanting nothing more than God to be glorified and many to have a better understanding of the word of God. Let's not forget to pray for the ushers and greeters who almost in stealth like fashion keep things running smoothly. They meet and greet visitors and members in a loving and Christ like way. Let's pray for God to meet with us in a powerful way today! Let's not play church, but let's pray that the Holy Spirit moves mightily to the saving of souls, changing of lives and to the comforting of the saints! Hey!Preacher, preach the Word! “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 I recently read this account, “One day, some years ago, a policeman walking his beat in Chicago, observed a man standing before a little building, with bared head, acting-as the cop thought “Either sick- or drunk,” he concluded, eyeing the man suspiciously. Then he walked up to where the man stood with eyes closed, and grunted: “What’s the matter, Mac? Sick?” The man opened his eyes, and smiled. “No, officer. My name’s Billy Sunday, and I was converted right here in that little mission. I never come by here that I don’t take off my hat and say a prayer.” The cop grinned now, reached a giant hand to Billy, and said heartily: “Put’er there, Bill! I’ve heard about it. You keep right on with your prayer, and I’ll keep the crowd away.” We often times say, “We need revival in our country” and I am not disputing that desire for this blessed country we live in. But where we really need revival is in our churches. Revival needs to begin with the believers. We have grown cold, stale and stagnate. I believe the seed of revival will take root in the soil of gratitude. When we believers remember the price that the Lord Jesus Christ paid for our salvation, we will have a fire of thanksgiving in our bones for the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. Calvary was not a picnic it was a battle ground. The Bible teaches us that the Lord Jesus endured the cross (Hebrews 12:2). When was the last time you opened your Bible to Isaiah fifty-three and allowed those God breathed words to wash over and through you? When was the last time you set aside some time to praise and thank God for your salvation? God will be glorified and the seed of revival will find good soil. Let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy eyes. O Lord, my strength and redeemer. Psalm 19:14 I wonder what our lives would be like if we started each day with such a prayer? What if we desired to live in a way that would bring glory to God from the inside out. I am certainly not speaking of a mere outward showing- a put on. I am not inviting you to live a life of dry and lifeless religion. I believe we would walk in victory while being a difference maker in the lives of those around us (In Christ Jesus) if we took time to consider our short verse at the start of each and every day. The words that flow from our mouths simply reveal that which is the meditation of our hearts. In the country they say, "What's down in the well comes up in the bucket." The psalmist has a want to live life in such a manner that will please the Lord. That is life at its best. Before you step out of your door today and before the starting gun is fired that signifies that your race for today has begun take time to ponder who it is you are desiring to please the most. We only have one chance at living today, so let's choose wisely that which is found in our mouth, and that which is in our heart. The choices that we make will either reveal to all of those we encounter throughout our day that Jesus Christ is indeed the Lord of our lives or that we are at the helm. Who will you choose? The response to the prayer request earlier today for Officers Larry Swearingen and Clint Simms was a true blessing! I had this glorious report via twitter from Pastor Jimmy Banks,"Praise God! Prayer is certainly working. Larry was placed in a regular room. He is out is out of ICU!" I say, Amen, to that!! Your prayers do matter! Your prayers make a difference! God hears our prayers! Let's continue to pray for bro. Larry's recovery and lets continue to pray for officer Simm's salvation and gun shot wound to his leg. Thanks for visiting, Bro. Tracy We should all be thankful for the officers who protect and serve us. Many leave for work not knowing who or what they will encounter on their shift. This past week two officers who protect and serve the folks in Columbus,Mississippi were shot in the line of duty. Bro. Larry Swearingen who is a member of Lighthouse Baptist church was shot in the abdomen and he is still in ICU. Let's pray that the Lord heals and restores the wound in his abdomen. Pastor Jimmy Banks shared with me that, "Larry was saved about a year ago and has grown leaps and bounds." Let's lift up bro. Larry's family as well during this tough time. By no means are we forgetting officer Clint Simms who was shot in the leg. Let's pray for healing for his leg. Now- that's physical, but let's ratchet our prayers up another notch! Clint needs to be saved! He needs to be born again! Let's come boldly to the throne of grace and pray while believing and believe while praying for officer Simm's soul! Let's pray that Clint's eyes will be opened and his heart tender to the glorious Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18 “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.” Psalm 41:1 Sometimes we can lend a hand; make a purchase or lift our voice to the heavens on one’s behalf. We can send a card; make a call or take time to make a visit. We have always lived in a “me” world, but I have found the best remedy for too much of me is looking around and tending to those in need. The Lord’s blessing will follow those who fill the void of the lonely and down trodden. God will be with us in our own times of trouble. I pray that our hearts will be broken for those who are despondent in spirit and dead in their trespasses and sins. The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is soul saving salve to every such case. I pray that we will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's guidance when it comes to our brothers and sisters in Christ in their time of great need. The beauty of being a blessing is in the joy of being Christ like. Solomon wrote “My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God” (Proverbs 2:1-5). This is an invitation that will make one wise and wealthy at the same time. Let’s put into action that which we have just read. Meditate on the five words below as you read over these precious verses. Words of action: I. Receive II. Hide III. Apply IV. Seekest V. Searchest |
