There is Power in Prayer! We should all be thankful for the officers who protect and serve us. Many leave for work not knowing who or what they will encounter on their shift. This past week two officers who protect and serve the folks in Columbus,Mississippi were shot in the line of duty. Bro. Larry Swearingen who is a member of Lighthouse Baptist church was shot in the abdomen and he is still in ICU. Let's pray that the Lord heals and restores the wound in his abdomen. Pastor Jimmy Banks shared with me that, "Larry was saved about a year ago and has grown leaps and bounds." Let's lift up bro. Larry's family as well during this tough time. By no means are we forgetting officer Clint Simms who was shot in the leg. Let's pray for healing for his leg. Now- that's physical, but let's ratchet our prayers up another notch! Clint needs to be saved! He needs to be born again! Let's come boldly to the throne of grace and pray while believing and believe while praying for officer Simm's soul! Let's pray that Clint's eyes will be opened and his heart tender to the glorious Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
