The life we live as Christians is often called, “Our walk.” The Apostle Paul led of the Holy Spirit wrote to the Ephesian how they were to walk. Let’s take a test and see how it is our walk is when compared to what God’s word says in regard to how it is we should be walking. Are we pleasing ourselves or are we aiming to please the Lord?
I. We are to walk in good works- “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10) We have a definite plan and a purpose for our lives.
II. We are to walk worthy of our calling- “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation of your calling.” (Ephesians 4:1) We live in a way that reflects who we are in Christ Jesus.
III. We are to walk as children of light- “And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. (Ephesians 5:2) We show the same love to others that the Lord has shown to us.
IV. We are to walk circumspectly- “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.” (Ephesians 5:15) We consider the consequences of the choices that we make.
