Ephesians 2:8-9
I didn't deserve it and I could not earn it and I certainly cannot keep it! Oh my- Heaven Born and Heaven Bound! There will be no peacocks in heaven strutting around while letting everyone know how it was they were able to overcome their sin and get on the good side of a Holy and righteous God ("He is the ROCK, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgement: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." (Deuteronomy 32:4) not when the Bible says, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities like the wind have taken us away" (Isaiah 64:6.)
If we ever get a hold of the truth of just how wicked and ungodly we were when we called on the Lord to save us I believe a revival fire when burn in us uncontrollably. It would be like throwing a big hickory log on the fire. Our verses have been read and read again by many believers I am afraid they lose there prominence in our hearts and lives because we allow our hearts to grow cold toward God and His glorious truth.
How about if we spiritually speaking throw a big log on the fire and allow the revival fire to burn in the very depths of our very being. It is time to quit throwing water on the fire and allow the Holy Spirit to kindle a fire in us.
