Now, on Sunday mornings, if I am not preaching out my wife and I will be at our home church. Last Sunday in our Sunday school class we were in the book of Daniel and as Bro. John was teaching we read from Daniel 3:24-25, "Then Nebuchadnezar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." My eyes filled with tears, and I nearly jumped up and did a lap!! Glory to God! I will take that over Sunday breakfast at a restaurant and a newspaper every time.
My Saturday nights are completely different as well! I like to set aside time to pray for my pastor and our services and for my preaching. I like to pray for the many pastor and preacher friends who God has brought into my life. I anticipate God doing a powerful work on Sunday. I anticipate God doing a mighty work across our nation and around the world! I am thankful that I am saved and no longer the ungodly fool sitting in a bar.
Take time, this evening, to consider who you once were before you were saved, and that you were dead in your trespasses and sins. Take time, to praise the Lord for His mercy and grace. Take time, to pray, and ask God to bless in a mighty way the services on Sunday.
