Genesis 1:24
I want, above all else, for God to be glorified. I desire that He will be lifted up and exalted high above all. Man in his ignorance and arrogance has put God in a place that He is not nor will ever be, below man. The fancy footwork that many so called theologians do in their attempt to explain away the truth that Genesis is to be taken literally is sad and damaging at the same time.
I have been blessed over and over by God’s creation. I have a favorite spot in our woods where I have set a chair and from time to time I simply sit down and drink from the beauty that God has provided. The sights and sounds of southern Indiana are as a grain of sand in the scope of God’s handy work.
I have three amazing designs that I want us to consider that truly are wonders of God’s creation. These creatures are certainly not found in my home state of Indiana yet what we can learn from their design points straight to their creator- God.
I. The Elephant- There are over 40,000 muscles in its trunk. The same trunk that has the ability to pick up a mere peanut can be used to hurl a full grown lion.
II. The Giraffe- The giraffe’s heart is the largest of any land animal because it must pump blood all the way up to its head. Its neck has special muscles in its blood vessels that slow down the rush of blood when it lowers its head. Without this design, the sudden jump of blood pressure would kill the giraffe.
III. The Cheetah- Its heart has a special design. Its heart and lungs are enlarged- filling its blood with extra oxygen for bursts of speed.
Could such marvels be an accident? Could such designs be the product of chance? Allow the truth of God to be your final authority.
