Psalm 145:3-4
The Lord is greatly to be praised. There should be a depth, a width and a height to our praise. When one considers all that has been done by the Lord, greatly should He be praised. The greatness of God is beyond our understanding, but that should not hinder our praise for His greatness. The depth of His greatness should be the measure of our praise.
We must continue to praise God and declare His mighty acts to the next generation. Husbands and wives must declare Gods mighty acts to their children. Grandparents must declare Gods goodness and faithfulness to their grandchildren. Christians should tell neighbors, co-workers and friends of the power of God working in and through their lives and in doing so God will be glorified and the next generation will be reminded of God. I have found that there is power within the mighty act of praising the Living God! When the day is tough and long I have found that praise has lifted my eyes off of whatever the situation might be and upon the all powerful and all knowing God of the universe. One will know comfort and gain strength as they lift the name of Jesus and remind themselves of His power and might and promise to never leave nor forsake us! In darkness He is worthy of our praise, upon the mountain top He is worthy of our praise; in any and every possible moment He is worthy of our praise. In disappointment and times of discouragement He is worthy of our praise.
If we do not pass on the heritage of God to the next generation the next generation will be clueless when it comes to Almighty God and He will be forgotten. Have you been displaying the mighty acts of the God of heaven?
