My Grandpa, Archie Killinger, was on the USS LST 630. He was a part of the major war effort in the South Pacific. He and his fellow sailors endured great battles for the freedom that we enjoy today. The things that they witnessed and overcame make them legends. The legacy of all the men and women who bravely fought either on land, air or sea is not in vain, no matter what some choose to believe or say about patriotism or about this wonderful country that you and I call home. The fortitude and toughness of my Grandpa's generation speaks loudly today. Within each freedom that we enjoy lies the echoes of the past sacrifices that were made by all of the past generations who stood and fought for what we have today. They did not bend or bow in the teeth of the battle. The sacrifice was great for the cause of freedom and the price was high. Let's remember the past and let's pray for the present men and women who stand and defend us today. Patriotism is a wonderful thing. I am blessed to be called an American. Above all we in America need to return to God Almighty! The people. The politicians. The preachers. The professors. We ALL need to turn back to the Living God. May God have mercy. Thanks for visiting & thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy | |
