What it is that is keeping you from giving yourself to the Lord in such a manner? To surrender! To sell out! To say, Yes, my Lord, I am all in for seeking, searching and thirsting for you." What brook or brooks are you longing for? Better yet what brook or brooks are you drinking from?
We will make a commitment to a sports team; we will wear their colors; we will fly their flags- we will learn all about the players; we will talk to others about them. We will learn all about their history, but we give God the cold leftovers that are found in the back of our hearts. Our commitment is lacking to our Saviour. Ask God to search you and to put His finger on whatever it may be. “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23-24.) God never leaves us hanging when we come to Him with such a request.
2016 is drawing to a close and Lord willing we will soon step over the threshold of 2017 what will we do with our Saviour and where will we place Him at in our hearts and thus our lives?
