Have you ever given thought to the fact that God Almighty is for you? As David cries out during a time of great distress brought about by the Philistines we read a wondrous thing, “God is for me.” My friend all scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16) and we know that God cannot lie (Titus 1:2) so we know without a doubt that such words are not just the simple thoughts of mere man, but the leading of the Holy Spirit to convey to each believer such a wonderful truth through David to each of us who are in Christ.
Who can do any harm to us when God is for us? He that numbers the clouds is for us. He who counts the stars and knows them all by name is for us. Jehovah God the author of the redemptive plan, who sent His Son the Lord Jesus Christ to pay our debt for the sins we committed and by such a merciful act saved us from eternal damnation is. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ is there anyone or anything that we should fear. If God be for us who can be against us? (See Romans 8:28-39). God is all powerful, all knowing, the King of kings and the Lord of lords- we are His and He is ours.
Do not shrink back and do not flee, for the one who goes before you will never leave you. Dear Christian, the one who delights in you is for you; not for a day or an hour and not for a season in your life, but always and forever, He is your mighty fortress.
