Garth Road Baptist Church
Pastor Jim Lamb and the good folks at Garth Road Baptist Church in Baytown, Texas will be holding a Sword of the Lord Conference on revival and soul-winning May 11-13. Dr. Shelton Smith and Dr. John Hamblin will be the guest speakers. In another example of how social media can be used for the glory of God I met Pastor Lamb through twitter. I have been blessed with a new friend and encouraged by our phone conversations. Pastor Lamb recently commented, "We are excited to host this conference for 18 years and to encourage pastors and church leaders, as well as church members."
Let's be in prayer for this conference! Let's pray for God's unction and anointing upon the two preachers! Let's pray that souls are saved, lives changed and that the saints will be stirred and set a blaze for a deeper love for the Lord as well as a deeper desire to, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark16:15.)
