A Call To The World I am still amazed at the fact that I am saved. Words cannot describe my gratitude and thanksgiving that I have for what the Lord Jesus Christ did in the saving of my soul. Hebrews 12:2 teaches us that Jesus endured the cross, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Calvary was not a picnic, it was a battle ground. Our Lord is our victor, redeemer and Saviour, who, through bloody Calvary, crushed hell and the grave, regenerating us, redeeming us and reconciling us! Glory to God forever and always!
I am also grateful to live in a country where I have the freedom through social media to write a blog that is able to exalt and extol the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! The Son of God! The Saviour! Jesus said, "I am the way, truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me" (John 14:6). We are blessed in this nation and yet with each passing hour we continue to venture further and further away from Almighty God. It isn't that we are in the middle of the turn because we turned away from God years ago. When we took prayer out of school and we decided to put the ten commandments off in some closet we made a choice. When we legalized abortion and decided to not call sin, sin, our direction was set, and our decision was made. We are sailing upon our own way and plans as a nation. With each heinous and ungodly decision made by politicians and judges and so called deep thinkers, and we can't leave out the population that makes up this nation- we are spreading a belief that is based on a life and a way of living that excludes the thought of there even being a God. I tell you the double talk and out and out foolishness that comes from the minds and lips of our leaders is mind boggling and it seems to permeate throughout all of our nation. Please don't misunderstand me, I love this country and I am proud to be an American. I have no joy in the words I just wrote, but I am not without hope. I know what Jesus did for me when he saved me. I am truly a new man. Most of you would not recognize me if we could go back in time and see the man I use to be. Did you catch that? "The man I use to be." The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is our only hope for this nation. One day at a time and one prayer at a time.
