"It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23
The compassion of God greets us every morning without fail. Within the unfailing compassion is the faithfulness of God’s mercy on full display. Dear believer, each day is full of such mercy that fills our day with the care and concern of our God. It flows from the Father to His dear children. Whether you are a big shot or a little shot it does not matter. You may be known by many or only a few. Your name could be on the lips of many from sea to shiny sea or possible be uttered by just a few. Your portion and position that has been made possible by God might be greater than many, but never lose sight of these words, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed.”
After I was saved I was introduced to the hymns. My heart has been blessed by many of them as I have either sung them with the local church or by myself while I have been working or in my automobile. One such hymn written many years ago says, "Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be."
Let these words sink in deep, “Great is thy faithfulness” The weather will change; people will change; the town or city that you call home will change. As we grow older our appearance will change, but we know that God does not operate in such a way as it pertains to His mercy.
