I am still amazed at the fact that I am saved. Words cannot describe my gratitude and thanksgiving that I have for what the Lord Jesus Christ did in the saving of my soul. Hebrews 12:2 teaches us that Jesus endured the cross, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Calvary was not a picnic, it was a battle ground. Our Lord is our victor, redeemer and Saviour, who, through bloody Calvary, crushed hell and the grave, regenerating us, redeeming us and reconciling us! Glory to God forever and always!
I am blessed beyond measure. God is good. God has provided me a wife who loves and cares for me and who supports me in all that the Lord has called me to do. That is huge when it comes to any type of ministry. I recall a time when I got a call on a Sunday afternoon from a pastor who needed me to fill the pulpit that evening. The Lord provided the message and my wife was on the front row! This is only one example of many of my wife’s support. We celebrated our anniversary today and have had a wonderful day. The blessing continued when we got home. There was a check in our mail box from a church that gives us monthly support for A Call to the World Ministries. It was a gift to start the New Year. Praise the Lord!
I have said all this wanting to give glory and honor to God knowing that without the Lord none of this would be possible. I want to encourage you to take time all throughout 2014 to praise the Lord for all that He is doing in your lives.
