Psalm 33:12
The recorded words of the men who were leaders from past days will reveal the fabric and foundation of any nation. In such a revelation the heritage of a nation will be made known. Many want to doubt, debate and are determined to revise or look past the history of our nation and its foundation and faith. Godly precepts and principles are the concrete and pavement that this nation was built upon. Trying to separate God from the heritage of this nation is like trying to take melody out of music – You can’t!
“It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God and to obey His will.”
George Washington
“God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid.”
Benjamin Franklin
“The highest story of the American Revolution is this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.”
John Adams
“The American nation from its first settlement at Jamestown to this hour is based upon and permeated by the principles of the Bible.”
Supreme Court Justice David Joseph Brewer
“It is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord’s side.”
President Abraham Lincoln
