1. "I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever."
David led of the Holy Spirit writes, "I will extol thee." "I will bless thy name."
2. "Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever."
Again, "I will praise thy name" Do you see the pattern that is shown to us?
3. "Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable."
The Greatness of God is proclaimed! We will soon get over ourselves when we proclaim the greatness of God.
4. "One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts."
We cannot put aside praising, proclaiming and preaching the great works and the mighty acts of God to the next generation or the next generation will sooner than later set aside God. I fear that we are already there.
5. "I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works."
Again- "I will speak" Professing! Proclaiming! Presenting!
6. "And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness."
Again- "I will declare thy greatness" There is a determination in "I will" Circumstances will not dampen the declaration of God's greatness when we determine to be filled with the Holy Spirit and live a life that brings glory to God. We won't be able to stay quiet when it comes to our Lord.
7. "They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness."
The sweet memories of God's countless Provision, Protection and Power in our lives must abundantly be found upon our lips. When we remember we will be reminded of the great goodness that Almighty God has shown us.
If you want to turn your pouting into shouting follow the pattern of our verses:
