Continue To Press Toward The Mark!

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 3:10-14
 

The Bible teaches us that the Apostle Paul was:

Beaten with rods.

Bitten by a deadly viper.

Berated by the religious leaders.

Buffeted by satan.

Betrayed by friends.


These things did not move Paul or define him. He pressed on, he continued in the battle and the fight. Paul knew the joy of the Lord while exhorting the brethren to rejoice in the Lord and to give thanks always. Don't be intimidated by the intensity and the fire that  poured from Paul for his Saviour and his service for his Saviour. Be inspired to continue in Christ Jesus. Be inspired to continue your walk and thus finish your course. It doesn't matter if you are in full time ministry or simply a child of the Most High God who is desiring that God does a mighty work through you- I am pleading for you to continue and to press on! Minute by minute and moment by moment!
