You are not alone. You have not been left unattended. At this very moment the Good Shepherd is tending to the flock. There is no distance too far, no valley to deep, no heart break so horrific that the Lord Jesus can’t comfort the child of God. Psalm 48:14 says, “For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.” The wonderful and powerful comfort that awaits us from these golden Words from God is matchless when compared to the worldly comforts that are often rooted in and the product of sin. In times of trials we turn to God not to sin for our strength and comfort.
Come this morning, come right now, come today and be strengthened, encouraged and built up. Come to the One who never slumbers and who knows all. Let not your heart be troubled come to the flowing well of God’s inexhaustible care and comfort found in His precious Word. "The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want,” (Psalm 23:1)- Trust Him now and forever more. The God of Heaven is worthy of our trust.
