I am thankful and grateful for the freedoms that I enjoy! None of us in America should ever take for granted what we have. Take the time today to thank a veteran for their service. Be a blessing to those who have made possible the very freedoms we have and know at this very moment.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Faith is trusting in the Lord even when: I. Society says you’re foolish. II. Satan says you’re finished. III. Self says you’re forgotten. God is worthy of our trust. “Then said Jesus to his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
Matthew 16:24-26 How strange this must have sounded to the disciples and how much more strange it must sound to most today. We live in a culture of pleasure seeking, where success is measured in monetary gain and the ease in which we live our lives. I’m afraid that the world’s culture has found its way into the hearts, minds and lives of many Christians. It is getting harder to see the difference between the born again and the lost. Too many believe that to deny their selves anything would be to drop out of the game of life. Too often we believers choose comfort over the taking up of our cross and if we are to follow the Lord Jesus Christ it must not interfere with our own hopes, dreams and schedules that we have chosen for ourselves. I have learned that God has the best plan for our lives. When we choose to deny our own plans, our own will and our own desires we will walk down the path of the Lord’s wonderful and exciting plan He has for our lives. When we suffer for the cause of Christ and choose to give ourselves to Him wholeheartedly we will truly be living. We will experience true joy and purpose that will flow from heaven. It is and will be the best life. We cannot straddle the fence as believers because that brings a division in our hearts. To have one foot in the world and one foot in God’s plan for our lives, will never work. The word of God speaks to Christians in a powerful way on the subject of the world and its relation to the believers, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world” (1 John 2:15-16.) Three reasons why the redeemed should not to love the world: I. Because of the character of the world-what it is II. Because of the corruption of the world-what it does. III. Because of the condemnation of the world-where it's headed. If you are saved, is what you are living for worthy of Jesus dying? Are you following the Lord Jesus Christ? What choice will you make? If you are not saved, what profit is there if at the end of your life you have only invested in the things of this world? The answer according to God’s Word is a lost soul. Dear friend if you aren’t saved, please go to the “Decision and Destiny” page and consider God’s Word. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5 I have posted and reposted this prayer blog. Folks let's pray for these men! Will you pray for these men I have listed? They represent churches and ministries all across our dear nation as well as other nations. With a fervency in your heart and a fire in your spiritual belly-Will you cry out and call out to the Living God on the behalf of these men and those whom they will stand before as they preach the word of God? With a brokenness and a burning that is of the Holy Ghost will you pray for souls to be saved? Hell is real and our time is short. The Bible says,"For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). As Jesus Christ is preached from the lips of these preachers let's pray that those words will open eyes and penetrate cold and hard hearts. Let's Pray! Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isaiah 40:6-8 Do not be afraid of being maligned, be afraid only of building on a false premise on quick sand for it shall not stand. We have great confidence in knowing that God's Word does indeed stand and is enduring it does not change with the passing of time and will not be altered by man. Before I was saved my life was built on the false premise of man and his philosophies that were drawn from the well of godlessness. The natural man being in Adam and not in Christ has tainted deductions when it comes to truth (see 1 Corinthians 2:14). That described me as the lost man that I was. Praise God that I am saved and can know and learn truth. I would rather be maligned while standing on the solid, enduring ground of God's Word than to be sunk in quick sand with those who choose to deny and deride the Word of the Living God. Don't be afraid to stand for the Word of God. The stand you take today will be a stepping stone for someone tomorrow and a testimony to those who stand in front of you in the here and now. The stand you take will make a difference in the lives of the saints as well as those who aren't saved. We are drawing close to the time of the year when we celebrate the things we are thankful and grateful for. It gives us a wonderful opportunity to share the love of God by sharing the Word of God. I recently read these words, "When God's standard of righteousness is set, there will always be division. Without righteousness there can be no peace. Peace can never come where sin remains. God will never make a peace treaty with sin, never!"
When you choose to walk with God a line will be drawn in the sand against sin. You will have a desire to flee sin and live for the Lord. You cannot live for the Lord and walk with the world while running with the devil. Sin carries with it a false sense of security and a sure path to destruction. Bring glory to God with the life you now have in Christ Jesus. The Bible says, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:1-2) "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16b
Will you join me in praying for Evangelist Cody Williams' Dad? Robert Williams is 52 years old and has been diagnosed with kidney failure. Let's come down and call out to the God of heaven on Mr. Williams behalf. Find a place, set aside the time and become a prayer warrior. Please share this request with others so that as many as possible will be praying. E.M. Bounds wrote, “Our praying, however, needs to be pressed and pursued with energy that never tires, a persistency which will not be denied, and a courage which never fails.” Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58
Be encouraged by the victory that is yours in Christ Jesus! Continue in that victory to do that which God has called you to do. Allow God complete control with the time He has blessed you with and allow His mighty hand to lead you and place you and plant you where He chooses. No work is too big or too small. Continue Being: I. Steadfast II. Unmoveable III. Abounding in the work of the Lord Listen- Your labor is not in vain! For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother. - Philemon 1:7 What a great testimony, "The bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee." When the hearts of the saints are comforted by another brother or sister in Christ that kind of news will travel fast. God will be glorified and the saints will be edified. I have met folks who have the not so great gift of chasing the life and light right out of a room. They are a hindrance and not a help to the saints. We need to be a blessing and comforter in these perilous times we are living in. It does not bode well for those in the body of Christ to be a hindrance and to appear to live hopelessly from day to day. We need to remind the redeemed of our blessed hope, "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13.) We need to be quick to refresh the memories and thus the hearts of the redeemed with the promise that God has given us in His Word, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever" (Hebrews 13:8.) Our Lord and Saviour is not fickle or frail He is steady and strong and does not change with the wind of circumstance. The body needs to be built not broken apart with un-scriptural hopelessness. We have much to give in Christ Jesus. If you were to draw your last breath at this very moment what would be the testimony of the saints when it comes to the impact you made within the body of Christ in the time God gave you? Would they be able to echo the word's of Paul in his description of Philemon or would it be words that would bring shame to the Saviour. Let's live Holy Spirit filled lives and allow the precious fruit of the Spirit, ("Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance") to move mightily and miraculously through us and into the lives of those around us. |
