I am thoroughly convinced the reason for so many long faced and defeated Christians is that they don't partake in one of the most simplest and yet powerful things- READING THEIR BIBLE! Peace seems to be a mystery to so many who are born again. Power in their day to day lives is sparingly a way of life. Joy is something they notice in others, but it is a place they rarely know. Hope seems to be something that others have, but it is a stranger to their lives. The Bible says, "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple" (Psalm 119:130.) The word of God must enter in before it can minister to us! God's word reveals who we are now in Christ Jesus and it brings to light the blessed benefits we have in and through our Saviour. It teaches us what we have in the here and now and what awaits us in the sweet bye and bye. Peace, Power, Joy and Hope are real today and heaven is a place we will one day call our home.
