“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”

With our little place we’ve been given in time- What is it we are doing with the place and the time that God has given us? Do we major in kingdom work or do we spend most of our lives being lured in by the world to those trappings that are both insignificant and unprofitable? Life is short and compared to eternity it isn't even a whisper. It isn’t even a blink of an eye. When I was growing up we had a wood stove and I can remember walking up our drive way and watching that plume of smoke coming out of the chimney and quickly disappearing. Yes, life is short, so we move forward by faith in the power that the Lord provides while walking in His works that he has ordained for us (Ephesians 2:10).
Imagine if you knew that you had only one month left before the Lord was going to take you home. I believe we would all consider two things:
1. What have I done with time I have been given?
2. What will I do with the time I have left?
