Here is our thought I want you to meditate on, "God's word brings to us and provides for us, Joy." Joy is proof that what we have is real and that it satisfies. Whether we take in God’s Word in our own time of reading and meditation or when we hear God’s Word preached, joy will be the fruit of those times. The Prophet Jeremiah wrote, “Thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart” (Jeremiah 15:16.) If we would come with such an attitude towards God’s Word I believe we would be living empowered lives, equipped lives and lives that would be fueled with a confidence that would speak powerfully to the redeemed as well as the lost. Joy will be lived out in the life of the Christian who carves out time in their schedule for God’s Word.
The Bible is a reservoir, an ocean, an endless supply of truth. What an opportunity that we have each and every day to take in God Almighty’s truth. It is not the mere words of man; it is not pop psychology or the advice of a TV talk show host. We have the pure truth from the living God. God’s Word is not sprinkled with half-truths. The word of God does not veer to the left or to the right nor does it run out of steam in the middle. From the first letter in the book of Genesis to the last amen in the book of Revelation and everything in between we have truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. God's word says, “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever” (Psalm 119:160.) God’s Word is hope wrapped in love. It is divine in origin (II Tim.3:16) and dependable in its entirety.
