I. "For God so loved the world that he gave..."
The Plan:
A. Reconciliation (No Longer a stranger) Brought into.
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:10
B. Redemption (No Longer a slave) Bought out of.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Colossians 1:14
C. Regeneration (No Longer spiritually dead) Born again.
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Ephesians 2:1
II. "his only begotten Son..."
The Provision:
A. The Son of God
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. Matthew 17:5
B. The Saviour of the world
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 1 John 4:14
C. The sinless sacrifice
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21
III. "that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The People:
A. Their Condition
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
B. Their Call
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
God's love is a love like no other.
