Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying,
Bro. Tracy
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18, 19
In 2010, the Lord laid on my heart to go to Phelps, KY to start a church. I knew from the beginning that the Lord wasn't done with me there either. He also made my heart open to new areas such as Wheelwright, KY and Martin County, KY even way back then. These are two other areas ripe for solid Bible teaching and the preaching of the Gospel.
I prayed over these places yesterday like I've done before, but this time I was convicted to move in faith. In my heart I submitted to the will of the Lord, telling Him that I'd go. Not forsaking the Phelps ministry and the church at Faith Missionary Baptist, but taking on a more complete role of church planter here in the mountains of eastern Kentucky and being obedient to the Word of the Lord. And as soon as I started reading my Bible, these two verses in Luke jumped out at me! I was convicted. I was scared. I was in awe of the responsibility. I was fearful. I was inspired. I was comforted. I was energized. A flood of emotions I know, but yet I was at total peace seeing the road ahead and knowing with Whom I walk.
With the state of the world and our country as it is today and with the latest developments that seem to get more ungodly each time the news comes on, I grieve for our country and for sinners lost in this dying world. I was called as a "minister and a witness" under Acts 26:16 and personal soulwinning is a matter of my makeup and ingrained in my fiber. So it really grieves me to hear of Christians who are wavering in their faith, quitting church altogether, or compromising with the booze crowd or the alternative lifestyle movement. It also opens my eyes to the world around me to where there is no Bible preaching church or the need for another one.
With these things in mind, please join me in praying for the people of Wheelwright, KY and the people of Martin County, KY. Pray that the Lord would be glorified in any effort to win the lost and that His will would be accomplished through our ministry here.
Please also pray for a tent. We have seen the need for a 30x50 size tent and if you know of one we'd be interested in taking a look. Buying new would run in the $5000 range before chairs and sound system. We are open to options and are looking for partners in this endeavor for Christ. If you would like to do more than pray, please contact me with ways you can be of help to us in these last days.
