“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” II Timothy 3:16-17 | |

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:16-17 We have three places and three moments below that forever changed history. Meditate on them as you start your day and remember them as you go about your day. You will not be able stop yourself from praising the Lord for His love and provision. You will not be able to stop yourself from giving God glory for His grace and mercy. Bethlehem- Luke 2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” It began in Bethlehem that God in the form of man born of a virgin had left the perfection and pureness of heaven and journeyed to this sin-filled earth to make known the good news of the Saviour and His glorious salvation. A Saviour was Sent. Gethsemane- The Lord Jesus would have a time of prayer during a season of suffering. Matthew 26:36-38 describes the scene, “Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me." Three times in Matthews account the Lord Jesus went off by Himself in the garden to pray. The Lord Jesus knew He would have to suffer, bleed and die on the cross. The heaviness of such a time could never be known by any of us. How thankful we all should be for the obedience of Jesus in such a time. A Season of Suffering. Calvary- The greatest victory of all time was won on the cross on the bloody hill of Calvary. From tragedy came triumph! From violence came victory! The crucifixion of Christ was sufficient in paying the debt of mankind for the price we all owe for our sins. The sacrifice was sufficient and the words of Christ from the cross should ring in our hearts each and every day as a glorious reminder of what He has done for us, “It is finished.” Finished indeed! A Sufficient Sacrifice. Looking forward to preaching, teaching and singing a special at Indiana Praire Baptist Church tomorrow morning! I will be leading the singing at a dedication service for the new building for Seedline International! I have been blessed to have gotten to know Bro. Keith Davidson who is the founder and President of Seedline International in Greencastle Indiana. They print and ship Bibles and scriptures all over the world! I hope to sit down with Bro. Keith soon and interview him for an upcoming blog. Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy 1 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. 3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: 4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? 5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. 8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted. Psalm 12:1-8

Thanks for visiting and thanks for praying, Bro. Tracy We love him, because he first loved us
I John 4:19 I have written several times that before I was saved I was not familiar with hymns. Sure, I had heard “Amazing Grace,” but the words never spoke to me it was the melody. I had no real connection to the hymn. I am blessed over and over again by the hymns. There is something about hearing the voices of the redeemed joining together in unison and singing that which is rich in doctrine and beautiful in melody. There have been times when tears of joy and gratitude have filled my eyes while singing. I would like to challenge you to step inside our verse. Really grab a hold of the powerful truth of the verse. Chew on it. Meditate on it and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart. I have included the lyrics to one of my favorite hymns “My Jesus, I Love Thee.” If you choose to step inside our verse take the time also to go over the hymn below. I believe you will soon find yourself in the middle of a glory fit. My Jesus, I Love Thee 1. My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine, For Thee all the follies of sin I resign; My gracious Redeemer, my Saviour art Thou; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ‘tis now. 2. I love Thee, because Thou hast first loved me, And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree; I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ‘tis now. 3. I’ll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death, And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath; And say when the death-dew lies cold on my brow, If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ‘tis now. 4. In mansions of glory and endless delight, I’ll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright; I’ll sing with the glittering Crown on my brow, If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ‘tis now. William R. “And there went out a champion out of the camp of Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.”
I Samuel 17:4 The Philistines had a champion, but God’s man David would be the conqueror of the Philistine’s champion. The King of kings had His hand upon His man. The very heart and soul of the wonderful account of David’s victory over the giant Goliath is the faith David had in God to win the victory (take time to read this wonderful account in David's life). Those in the camp of Israel didn’t believe in David and those in the camp of the Philistines certainly didn’t believe that the shepherd boy had a chance with a sling and five stones. I would rather be an instrument in the hands of the Living God than a pawn in the hands of the devil. Dear friends, don’t be surprised by what you are about to read! You are going to find yourself in situations when your brothers and sisters in Christ just won’t get it when the God of heaven calls you to do something well beyond your capability, strength and resources. There will be family members who will not understand your exuberance or the fire that kindles your excitement. God has, God can and God will use the most unlikely person to do a powerful and mighty work. Praise God!! Mark it down, there will be doubters, but don't you dare stop! There will be those, who though you may not hear their words they will scoff and question the validity of what you are called to do. Don’t you dare stop! The enemy will be sure to show himself. He will whisper doubt in your ear while knocking on your hearts door like prowling lion. Don't you dare stop! You will know and you will feel the resistance and the strain of the enemy. Don’t you dare stop! Stand tall and strong in the power of God and in His might. Never allow the lack of faith of another to dilute your trust in God, and what God has called you to do. Victory will be sweet and God will get all the glory and praise. You will be an example to others who God wants to use as they endure the same doubters and roadblocks. We need to be building blocks not stumbling blocks. David’s faith was on display that day for all to see- Let’s go slay those giants! “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8 We live in an ever changing world that seems to be built more upon sand than anything that has any substance to it. Everything seems to be disposable and not built to last for any length of time; whether it’s a razor blade, a microwave oven, or an air conditioner. The philosophy seems to be, make it cheap, get it out the door, and soon they’ll be back for more. People change and often come and go, but my friend there is one who does not change, the Lord Jesus Christ. Take a hold of this and don’t let go. Always and forever, we can count on Him! In darkness and defeat, we can count on Christ Jesus. When all seems lost and others let us down, Christ Jesus does not change. Our Saviour; our anchor; our rock is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the provider and our sustainer, the light of our lives that fades not away. The Prince of Peace is our shelter when the wicked winds blow and dark clouds boil. Before I was saved the only hope that I had was in the things of this world. It was a lonely life built upon that which is fleeting and fading away. Here today and gone tomorrow. Christian, be strengthened and encouraged that hope is certain, hope is a reality. Hope is real- Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:1-3). The Bible says, “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever” (Isaiah 40:8). Always and forever we can trust our Saviour and His Word. At this very moment! If you are struggling on the street of discouragement merge on over to the Super Highway of the King of kings and the King of GLORY! Get yourself up shake the dust of discouragement off and walk in victory that is rightfully yours in Christ Jesus. |
